Via iPhone: While at the Brocante

Colorful umbrellas stand next to colorful buildings, under a blue sky.

One the advantages of going to the brocante is visiting the village that is hosting it.

I seriously doubt I would know as many places as I do in France if it weren't for my passion for brocanting.

Villages, towns, cities, to out of the way places, warehouses, fields, parking lots and dealer's home, were stories unfold, history shares her tales, and France reveals it past.

Brocanting is a whole package: Old things that are set up in interesting places, meeting people who share history about France and its culture… and having lunch at a good cafe.

Does it really get better than that?

What a wonderful way to discover your adopted country, especially when accompanied by your faithful FH.

  6. Cool hat! 🙂
(I remember that hat at the market in Aix – mostly because I brought the same from Vienna where I had paid exactly double the amount.)
