Oh, I am passionate for the French enamel plaques! Did you buy any….I will buy from you 😉

At certain times, I have felt there must be something wrong with me. I too am SO attracted to shades – with no color. That is not to say I do not appreciate viewing decorating done with riotous color. I do. I love to look at pictures and watch shows on television where decorators use LOTS of color. But, it is SO peaceful to me when I enter my home of subtle shades. Just the way I am made, I guess, so I completely relate to what your eye has seen in this post!

Coco, are the plaques easily found at brocantes?
-
Why yes I am. In fact, if it were possible my whole studio would be sepia and cream white….love those porcelain signs, I snagged two while shopping at a Paris flea market. Little did I know what they said….joke was on me.

I like everything from neutrals to riotous colors, so I guess I’m just not too fussy 😉

Oh, I hope you bought some of those porcelain signs for your shop!

I love those signs. I looked everywhere in Paris (that I could think of) for a reproduction “Rue de la Harpe” street sign to hang on my house. Like everyone doesn’t already know a harpist lives here, with all the comings and goings of big, awkward instruments on carts and all the heaving and grunting it takes to lift them into the truck. But still. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
And that little cart…I can see it full of potted plants in the garden. -
Ooohhhhh!!! Love the porcelain signs too!!!! I’d love to have every single one!

I just drooled on my computer…

Om MY Gosh…That cart made my heart leap! Good find!

I LOVED every one of those pictures!!!! I want it all! I will be at the fairs in Sept in Montpellier, Beziers & Avignon. I cannot wait. Keep those pics coming. They start my day. Loved the French Husband and totally understood how he felt.

I feel exactly like Rebekah. I love seeing wild color – in other people’s homes. I used to use crazy color all over my house. But in the last couple of years I began the “devoid of color” trend. Black, white, cream, various shades of brown – I can’t identify what triggered the switch in my taste.

Corey, Corey!! Did you perchance buy the sign with Mlle. Boulay on it?? My last name is Boulay…what I wouldn’t give for that sign!! Sigh…Beautiful posts as always!
