Brocante Box

A sneek peek into the brocante box, items I will list online.

Small brocante bonbons good enough to eat, if only they didn't hurt my teeth I would, plus the only profit would be calories, and I have enough of those in a day with French Husband and my Mother in Law cooking.

On another note, I was able to move my fingers yesterday!!!!!! Finally after two weeks of thinking my hand/fingers would never move! Prayers I tell you helped.

I filmed the video by stuffing part of my iPhone into my cast. Don't tell my Doctor please.

“Stuffing my iPhone into my cast” – do I see a Youtube tutorial in there somewhere?
So glad your fingers came alive again! 🙂

  2. The cast iPhone holder for filming – it deserves an Academy Award for one of those inventions that innovate filming techniques and equipment!

  3. Thankful that you are able to move your fingers!

Yay, wiggling fingers! I’ve been thinking about you as I’ve wiggled my own fingers over the harp strings (practicing “The Prayer” – accompanying two great singers for a wedding next weekend.) Maybe the combination of the good thoughts and the music are floating your way.

Your treasures are so lovely Corey…I learned so much just watching you touch each one with such care and tenderness~with such LOVE! I feel like looking into my little boxes with all the treasures that I have collected over the years and spending time with them again. It has been a long time since I have done that! I am so happy that you are on the mend and that you have your family there to help you. Sending prayers of healing and thankfulness your way! I hope you feel like making more videos soon. You are amazing!

  6. I knew you’d figure out a way to make the cast do some work. Thanks for the neat video. Oooh that little coin purse-might have to buy it. Such a fun box of brocante items to ses again for sharing with us. Looking forward to seeing the listings at your shop.

  7. C, so happy to hear your hand and fingers got some feeling!! And, love this video – I had just gotten some coffee, sat down, and it was so fun to go through the box with you – thanks! xo

    I can just hear the
    doctor giving you
    instructions on
    how to manage
    with a cast. I
    can’t imagine
    he would think
    to mention not to
    stick your IPhone
    in it.
    I think you
    are safe: for
    you can plead
    ignorance.
    Glad to hear
    that fingers
    are now moving.

  9. I know I’ve said this to you before, but I love your videos. It’s just nice to hear a real voice behind the writer’s voice.
I’ve been admiring your brocante as well. I was in France a few weeks ago and can you believe that I managed to find a brocante? I only say that because we didn’t know where we were going nor do we speak much French, however, the Brocante Gods were with us because we stumbled upon one. I didn’t find anything that I could pack up in my suitcase, though. 🙁
Glad you can wiggle your fingers.

  10. Great news on your healing progress. Such a relief but nothing heals faster than keeping busy with the things you love. Thank you so much for the video, it was nice to see the items in your hand, gives a perspective of their size and also brings them to life. Looking forward to your next box of treasures from your latest finds.

  11. Sometimes the little things we pretty much take for granted can be monumental. Yay to being able to move your fingers! You’re in my thoughts. 🙂

  12. I imagine the doctor also didn’t think to tell Corey not to put beans in her ears, either 🙂

Nice to hear your voice Corey and watch as you truffle through your brocante treasures. I hope the healing process is speedy for you.

You’ve made me remember something funny, Corey. I’ve had some 5 or 6 surgeries on my hands with the long recovery and casts and the whole bit. Doctors always say not to put anything in the cast and I had thought, “Now why would I do that?” Well. It gets itchy in there!! So I had taken to getting to the itches with a knitting needle. One day there was no knitting needle around and I was desperate, so I scratched that itch, and good, with a pen.
When I went to have the cast removed, the doctor found the cap of the pen and my arm absolutely BLUE with pen marks! There was no feigning ignorance that time.
    🙂
Congratulations on moving your fingers!!!! Happy healing!
    Tamara

She moved her fingers for the first time since her injury, and we see the first thing she does! Videos a sneak peak for us! You are a jewel, Corey!! God Bless, we are praying for that speedy recovery, here it comes! Thank you, Jesus!

Nice to watch you rummage through that lovely box of treats. Such interesting little titbits from someones life or lives. Just trying to imagine who owned the pieces is pretty amazing.
Glad to read that you have moved your fingers. My husband broke his arm just a few days before you while working in Sweden. He is still in Sweden and unfortunately he is right now having a small operation on his arm as the bones have not quite settled correctly, so I am thinking of him on the other side of the world as I head to my bed and thinking of you as you move your fingers.
Take care and keep on telling us stories.
    Cheers
    Jennifer
