I agree. I have kept my kids special “lovies” (yoshi, a stuffed racoon for Luke and bits and pieces of a cotton blanket for Sophia.)I get as much joy now, looking back, as they gave my kids way back then.
It’s as if you can feel the love the stuffed animal felt all those years….good vibes…..great find.
And well worn means love to me also. Reminds me of the velveteen rabbit, my favorite children’s story.
Good to see French Husband smiling and in a good mood after yesterday’s chandelier mishap. Did you find amy crystals?
In a couple more decades, Yann can say the same thing about himself. Since he’s smiling on this side of the camera, I know you are smiling on the other side. Enjoy your day you two.
My kid (now 35) didn’t have the stuffed animal but did have a favorite blanket for his bed made by me. Now that he just lives down the street, Iris my 6.5 year old Angel Grandchild gets to use it when she is here for her every other Friday sleepover.
What a sweet smile on Yann !!!! Lucky girl you are.
Hi Z.
I did not find the bobeche or coupelle (my made up name for the dish that goes under the candle.

I think that is sweet. I had a favorite stuffed dog when I was a little girl, it was a dachshund and I called him “Hot-doggy-doggy”. I used to tie a string around his neck and pull it down the street. I did that so much that I wore off the fabric at the bottom of his feet. I also used to put him in a paper grocery bag ( to keep him a secret from the other kids )and talk to him when I walked to school. He would then spend the day in my locker tucked away with frequent checks by me until the end of the day and we would walk home together again. My mother threw him out in a cleaning frenzy when I was older. He is the one toy I wish I had back.
Excellent! I have the trio of teddy bears I was given as a baby. On my first visit to California back in the eighties during the dry season, all I could think was that the hills looked like my strawberry blonde mama bear who had most of her fur “loved off.”

Kramdjur, the Swedish translation, descibes them best. Literally “hug-animals”, three of which you photographed here!
I’m not an antique expert, FAR FROM IT !) but “bobèche” seems to be the word, at least in French … 🙂
Now I have the answer to my question from yesterday !!!!
Thank you Yann !
I often say when I see those befuddled, naked, loved-off teddies and animals: They are loved to death…. 🙂
He’s one of a kind, your FH!
