Prayers for my Cousin Lynn

Every year my girl cousins, who call themselves the "Cabras", and my Aunts, on the Amaro side of the family go away for a long weekend to spend some Q. & Q. time together.

One year when I was able to go with them we went to Upper Lake in California and stayed at the Tallman Hotel. While together one of the things we did was to go antiquing… Are you surprised? You know the brocante bug runs deep in m family's vein.

Have you ever gone antiquing with a bunch of enthusiastic women who love what you love?

Let me ask you have you ever seen a bunch of children at Easter, happily darting around trying to find the golden egg? If you have, then you can imagine my cousins, Aunts and I.

My cousins, Lynn, Judy, Joan, Robin, Diane and my Aunt Ann are experts in the ways of dashing around for antiquing, nevertheless we each discovered a golden egg to take home. I bought a small chair, that I had to cut in half to fit in order to bring back on the plane.

On that same trip together we celebrated my Aunt Sara's birthday. Aunt Sara is Francabolla's, Sheba's and Birdbrian's mother. Francabolla, Sheba and Birdbrain have real names, but these are the names they use to comment on my blog.

Francabolla arrived in France yesterday, along with a friend (Mardog) to visit my family.

Sheba is Sacha's Godmother,

Aunt Sara was my father's sister.

and Birdbrain, I never understood why she gave that name to herself, is my cousin Lynn.

Yesterday while I was returning home to France, my cousin Lynn suffered a pulmonary embolism and is in a coma.

Please join my family and I in prayer for Lynn's recovery.

  29. The Psalms
    23
    The LORD Is My Shepherd
    A Psalm of David.
    1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
    2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
    he leadeth me beside the still waters. Rev. 7.17
    3 He restoreth my soul:
    he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
    4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
    thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
    5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
    thou anointest my head with oil;
    my cup runneth over.
    6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
    and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever
    May the God of all creation be with you, guide you, and heal the sick among you.
