Dinard, France is in the north western region called Bretagne.
Large, fairytale-like mansions line the northern coast between Dinard and Saint Malo. A century old trail snugs the coastline, which you can walk along for miles, called:
Le Sentier des Douaniers or also known as, La Promenade de Clair de Lune.
The English channel, the magnificent homes, the people strolling along, and at each bend fantastic views. Dinard and Saint Malo are beautiful spots to visit.
The beaches in between invite play and reflection. When I close my eyes I can imagine Northern California, Westport to be exact. The sound of the waves, the sea breeze, the smell… is like a home away from home.
French Husband loves this area like I love Westport.
He relives his childhood, feels his path, reflects on his dreams.
When we go back to the home of those we love, we see something invisible to the naked eye.
Note:
We are visiting French Husband's mother for a few days.
Favorite desserts in the region.
"In Bretagne, people enjoy crepes at a creperie (crepe restaurant). In this part of France, creperies outnumber cafes, and friends gather in them to share a bottle of cidre, a popular local drink, and to eat together while they talk."
