This week since someone I am close to has a birthday today, I thought I would do my weekly Creative Ideas for Saturday post on Birthday Party ideas.

First the invitations…

Where I live in Provence it is snowing! Who would want ice cubes for their birthday when it is snowing? Me. These are just too pretty to pass up.

Where does your creativity lead you?
If we listen to the poems circling our hearts, feel the music that is underneath our feet, and hold on to the offerings placed at our altar at our birth.
Then I believe our creative source runs knowing no bounds, enriching our days.

Doll cake.

Bake a cake in a metal bowl.

When it is baked, turn it out and upside down.

Cut a hole in the middle.

Add a doll in the center.

Frost the cake (bowl part) like a hoop skirt …dress her up.

    Happy Bithday….again! I say you can never be wished Happy Birthday TOO many times! My last birthday wish for you was on Facebook…
    I had a doll cake topping on my 5th b’day cake. My mom kept it in the china cabinet for all to see. It FINALLY disintergrated when I was about 60-61…some where around there. The frosting was so thick it turned hard as a rock…I have the doll still…just no cake. My 48 and 49 yr old sons remember it well…(I’m 69 now)
