I Cannot Miss a Post…Not Now, Not After Six Years of Posting Daily!!!

Carnival in Venice

I have too many photos of the carnival in Venice that I wanted to share with you today, but the clock is going to strike midnight, which means I do not have time to do as I please.

I just got home…. An airport strike the nearly grounded me in Germany, and then when I arrived in Marseille a three hour ride home due to a soccer game…. long day!

Like the little girl in the photo, I feel rushed to post… I am posting this to say a stream of photos will follow…

So sorry you had such trouble on your trip home!
I looked at your Venice posts and pictures and I am absolutely floored by the ingenious ways you captured the variety and beauty there. I am so grateful that you are such a wonderful and thoughtful observer and chronicler. I’d have missed half of it without you!
    Good night,
    M.

  5. Take a rest Corey, you made it-whew!

  6. I know what that’s like… Welcome baaaaack! I want a costume like the ones the women are wearing in your photos. They are gorgeous but a lot of work to sew! I’ve loved seeing them. Thanks!

I love that you post daily! I thought when I started my blog “I want to be like Corey and post EVERY day!”
But I haven’t:( Sigh. Oh well. You rock Corey!

  8. Happy to hear you did arrive home safely. We will be waiting here for more.

  9. The expression on that little girl’s face says it all! Corey, you’re home, take a deep breath and sleep late, tomorrow.

Your photo is attractive, anyway, and so accurate … Can imagine your exact mood!!!
And when I read yourwords about soccer, I had to think it over… Thibaud was fast asleep and could not help at all (he’s a sort of “sport bible”!!!).
    Then I got a flash : Marseille-Milano, of course !!!
Pleased you’re safe back home !!!

  14. Yes, I was thinking: “Where is Corey? Merisi already posted today. Corey is probably in transit.” In the nick of time :-). Great photo.

  15. Love the little girl’s facial expression, and am sure you empathize with her! Sorry to hear you had so many delays on your journey home, even though they were merely of the very frustrating nature (rather than anything worse).

  16. Yeah, it took me a minute (at this early hour, local time) to figure out “What soccer match?” too. I imagined Yann playing in a recreational adult league in their home village, thus unable to go to the airport till afterwards to collect Corey. Finally the figurative light bulb went on over my head… duhhh!
