Stories Collected While Living in France
I have too many photos of the carnival in Venice that I wanted to share with you today, but the clock is going to strike midnight, which means I do not have time to do as I please.
I just got home…. An airport strike the nearly grounded me in Germany, and then when I arrived in Marseille a three hour ride home due to a soccer game…. long day!
Like the little girl in the photo, I feel rushed to post… I am posting this to say a stream of photos will follow…

I looked at your Venice posts and pictures and I am absolutely floored by the ingenious ways you captured the variety and beauty there. I am so grateful that you are such a wonderful and thoughtful observer and chronicler. I’d have missed half of it without you!

I know what that’s like… Welcome baaaaack! I want a costume like the ones the women are wearing in your photos. They are gorgeous but a lot of work to sew! I’ve loved seeing them. Thanks!

Love the little girl’s facial expression, and am sure you empathize with her! Sorry to hear you had so many delays on your journey home, even though they were merely of the very frustrating nature (rather than anything worse).
Yeah, it took me a minute (at this early hour, local time) to figure out “What soccer match?” too. I imagined Yann playing in a recreational adult league in their home village, thus unable to go to the airport till afterwards to collect Corey. Finally the figurative light bulb went on over my head… duhhh!
