Flea Market Decor...Friday Fille

Flea Market Decor asked me to send some photos of my home, for an article in their magazine.

Happy me.

Flea Market Decor came out a week or so ago, though I hadn't seen it. Robin a blog reader of Tongue in Cheek thoughtfully sent me a copy.

Yesterday while talking to my Mom she said she hadn't seen it. And couldn't find it in the shops…."SOLD OUT".

I think I am not the only one with the Brocante Bug.

Reading the articles it said two of the hottest collectibles at the moment are:

Religious artifacts

and

Books.

At last my home is  fashionable and mainstream. Feels funny for a fish out of water.

Picture of a picture.

No need for a thousand words.

Kitchen..

The base is Ikea, the other stuff … you guessed it:

B…R…O…C…A…N…T…E…!

Mom know you see it! But I would rather you come here in person and lick it!

Thank you Rebecca, and Flea Market Decor for including me in your Premier issue!

  1. Felicitations , mon amie

  2. And congratulations to you, Corey. Some more of your great photos published! I can understand why they would want to include photos of your amazing, brocanted house.

  3. Not surprised, I could have spent hours just wandering through your luscious home. The short time I spent there was like taking a stroll through your blog-dream come true pour moi…Congrats Miss C!

  4. Just beautiful! Congratulations.

  5. I think it’s about time. Your home and photographs are over-the-moon. Congratulations, Corey.

  6. I also had a hard time finding a copy (had pictures of my wicker cart and cart liner in the magazine…pgs. 16 and 18). A fellow FB follower told me to look at WalMart…and there it was…the last copy. Snapped it up. Loved every inch of the magazine and especially YOUR feature. Learned that you have a passion for vintage musical instruments and a lovely vignette of such in your home 😉 And IKEA for your base cabinets in the kitchen was a surprise! Thanks again for opening your home to all of us! It is magical…

  7. Sumptuous and lovely. A work of art you are. Well done!

  8. Congratulations Corey! I picked up the magazine recently and am going back to re-read it right now 🙂

  9. Félicitations Fille!

WOW! What an honor! So happy for you!
Now if I can just find that magazine!!

  12. Congratulations. BTW Corey, they should have YOU on the cover as the Queen of Brocante! Have a wonderful weekend.

  13. I saw it at Safeway a week ago, but the price ($9.99) seemed too expensive. Guess now I have to buy it!

  14. Brother Mathew

The first photo on this post..you smiling..is the best photo!

  15. I agree with Brother Mathew about the first picture being the best. Congratulations! How exciting! And I can say I knew you when.

  16. Congratulations! 🙂
You look like a million bucks, in a very cute outfit!

  17. Congrats Corey, your house is beautiful.

  18. Rosemary

Congratulations to you Corey. That’s great! I agree that the best picture is your smiling face.

  19. Agree with brother Mathew. Congrats. I still remember the Victoria Magazine article from many years ago. You are an old hand at this now.

  20. WOW!!! Good for you. Your style is so inspirational, Corey.

  21. Will the magazine eventually be available online?

  22. how totally fun for you! Congrats! That is just so cool:) Your house is awsome and should really be featured more you know!

  23. Victoria Ramos

I bought it last week….at Safeway….tell your mom.

  24. Congratulations Corey! Will have to look for that issue, it’s one of my favorite magazines. Love seeing photos of your home, would love to see some of the outside of it too, do you have any gardens?

  25. Walked into the bookstore this morning and there it was, the first magazine I saw! Beautiful images. Your home is fantastic but also so warm. Clearly a labor of love!

  26. About the only thing I remember of your house is the green silk cushion I ripped (behind you in the first photograph. You could say my mind was elsewhere during that brief visit.
That will change in a 20 months when Mar-chien attends the tractor show in Montpelier and I get to tag along comme un chiot. Woof!
Don’t ask me why I try to write in a language I don’t speak …

  27. Kathie B…I think this is the first issue of Flea Market Decor and will not be available online. Contact Beckett Media to purchase a copy directly or look for it at grocery stores, Home Depot, WalMart. It came out in late February so may be hard to find now.

  28. I am so glad the two of you are coming back!
Regarding the cushion, I flipped it over and called it good.
    C

  29. Well, it’s preferable to coming along “comme une puce” ;-)))

  30. I’ll make it up to you, someday… some way…
Looking forward to having you all to myself for a few hours on the 18th!

  31. Hi Corey, I bought this magazine last week at Barnes & Noble and when I got home and looked through it I was pleasantly surprised to see your home featured and the beautiful photography (I read your blog every day–wouldn’t miss it!!)…Judy

  32. Congratulations, Corey!! Your home is so very beautiful and warm and filled with love!!! And your garden is too, the roses, jasmine, lavender …. I could lick them all!!! I’m so lucky I’ve seen it in person 🙂

  33. Nice photos but I think I’ll save the $9.99 for my trip abroad….maybe one day I’ll see your house in person! Would you say this was 20 yrs of collecting? You should feel happy to be recognized for your collecting talents. Agree with Brother Matthew….the pic with you smiling is the best of all.

  34. Elaine L.

Yipee! I’m going to hunt a copy down tomorrow.

  35. Gotta go out and look for it tomorrow! You look so beautiful, Corey. (and your house too!)
So happy for you as you deserve every happiness!

  36. What a fun double take. Congratulations! Sure hope your Mom found a copy as she will appreciate it the most.

  37. TEXAS FRANCOPHILE

Wow what a tribute……congratulations……love your white sweater, I’ll zip to Barnes and Noble and hope there is still a copy left, FRANCO

  38. No need to make it up to me. That tear speaks volumes of a moment of time that neither of us can repair… but holding it together will make it easier to bear.
