The Gathering… A new place to go antiquing in California, and it happens to be in my hometown. My Mother's partner Holly is in the final stages of opening her newest endeavor to put Willows on the map as a place for antiquing.

The Co-op is planned to open this Spring with twenty of the best antique dealers in Northern California.

Holly and her husband bought an old building across the street from their present shop. They gutted the inside, taking it back to its original hard wood floor, brick walls, and exposed the incredible ceiling. They spent many of hours after their full time jobs to pursue their dream, to bring back a place of charm, class in the heart of the small rural town.

Holly and her husband no longer want Willows to be a place where the only reason travelers  stop on I-5 is to fill their cars, take a coffee, and grab some fast food.

I love Holly's style, rustic, country, zinc, burlap, bringing the outdoor in and making it cozy. If you have been to their shop 'Gathering Better Junque' across the street from their new place you know what I am talking about.. Holly's and my mother's shop oozes country charm chic.

Lace, ribbons, pink you will find down the street at Pink Pomegranate.

Their new shop plans to expand happiness for those who love antiquing and the hunt.

Brick wall. Can you imagine the hours of peeling, chiseling, carving, and stripping the layers of years of plastering and paint to bring back the beauty of a brick wall?

Holly has that kind of passion, that kind of will power, that kind of dream. Work does not daunt her hopes.

Two years, nearly every day after work, to create a place for antiquing lovers to walk inside, feel at home and rekindle their own dreams. Or at least to find a treasure ready to go!

  6. Brother Mathew

My favorite store in Willows! (Willows Hardware runs a close second) Even if it is filled with old junque.

  7. Looking forward to stopping by sometime. What a beautiful space, and so touching to hear about all the elbow grease for 2 years that went into it.

  8. Congratulations to Holly on the new venture.
I am so thrilled to realize we will be passing through there in June on our way to San Francisco and I’ll be sure to stop for more than gas!

  9. That looks absolutely wonderful. Someday I WILL go to california for some serious shopping! There are so many great places out there!

  10. Corey,
You make Willows sound like a magical place. Where handsome men stick around, beautiful children gather with their grandma on Mondays, love abounds in families. The backstage includes a high school. The fields. Lemonades. And now, a budding antique destination.
You should be hired by the mayor to run a major campaign.
Well, Mr. Mayor, it seems like the next logical step for this destination is a few bed and breakfasts.
Can the town where Corey lives in France and Willows be sister cities???? Just kidding!

  12. Holly, I’m happy you’ve brought Texas style to Willows. It is beautiful decor. I’m extremely happy you, and others, are bringing these old buildings back to life in their natural beauty. Everything you display will be stunning against its backdrop. My best to you and Willows.

  13. Hope you’ll let us know when the shop opens. It would be worth a road trip.
