Each Saturday I focus on a different artist that I admire. From potters to painters, chefs to collectors, seamstress to songwriters, lifestyle to lovers… anyone who set the paintbrush, pastry brush, hands and heart on fire to create.
Those who inspire art to flow where it may.

French antique images are reproduced on clear plastic tape. The images can be cut and used for packages or on glass as seen above. I love this and bought two rolls.

Last weekend I went to a French brocante blogger's market. Paradise found. Some of my favorite women friends were there selling their homespun creations. I will be featuring them in the weeks to come.
Dentelle Oxydées stand was brilliant. Instead of offering the original pieces that she has found at the French brocantes she reproduced them, or as they say in France: Gave them new life.
Dentelle Oxydées has cotton ribbons, rubber stamps, and tags with French and English writing printed on them. The rubber stamps have French words that say: Recipes, Kitchen, Souvenirs, Photos, Hobbies, Merci, Eighteen Century, Number#…

Clever cotton fabric patches with images and bits of French poetry and text to use on cushions, pillows, dresses.. they are lovely framed, and come in a variety of sizes.

Dentelles Oxydées scours the French brocantes coming up with the best handwritten papers, clippings from old newspapers, and prints. Then she works on them, the colors, the size, and often layers them before having them printed on various mediums.
