Where the Green Grass Grows

Heartchairs_1

Rusty and worn,

though young at heart,

the two chairs sat side by side.

Weathering seasons of sun and storm.

They wiggled their toes in the mud,

leaned on each other when their steps are uneven,

Their friendship stayed true to where the green grass grew.

Photo: Taken on a walk to a friend's house: A pair of worn old chairs in an overgrown abandon garden.

Friendship is….

Thank you for your many suggestions, I will be on a mission to find and share what you asked. These next two weeks we have two dear friends, Daryl and Judy staying with us. I am putting on my French Tour Guide and hitting the roads, photos and stories of Provence to come.

  2. I love that you see these beautiful chairs as friends. I have always imagined chairs to be like women. I think it’s the lines of the chair and how their fabrics seem like dresses.
    Love this photo.
