Brocanting in the Middle on France

French-countryside

A few of my upmost favorite French brocantes only happen once a year. One of them happens this weekend in the middle of France. Nearly six hours away from where I live. The brocante has over 500 dealers and is located in the middle of one gigantic cow pasture. We are off and running, hopeful finding the good deals and missing the fresh cow pies.

I'll keep you posted, I am hoping to post on the go with my iPhone.

What are your plans for this weekend?

  1. I will be cooking up a storm using farmers market CSA ingredients. I’m writing a story for Edible Rhody Magazine on the CSA program. It’s a delicious story:) Check it out on my blog Miss Corey-I’d love your critique!

Definitely not having as much fun as you and the brocante. I love reading of your adventures to any brocante. Me, I will be making raspberry jam, going for a walk, and getting a haircut. Guess I should have planned better.

  3. I am on a staycation! So finishing some knitting projects, reading and keeping out of the heat! Have a wonderful time.

  4. We are flying to France!

  5. Diogenes

Recovering from 3 days of sun in Palm Springs.
I would get up and go for a brocante however. Hope you find lots of great stuff!

  6. Oh, to be flexible. Long list of must dos has turned into disconnected unexpected happiness. Huge storm raged the mid-atlantic region (I live in MD), millions with no power – one of which is me! To-do list must wait again, the downed trees in the yard are calling.

  7. Happy treasure hunting!
I am finally planting some flowers and herbs on my balcony. First it’s been cold and then I was sick. Looking better already with the flower pots full and I am working on a small lighting project to brighten up the summer evenings.

I have been off line for three weeks and am looking forward to catching up on my favorite blogs and mail and will then go to the Dodger game with my husband. Not quite as much fun as a brocante, but I do love a Dodger Dog every now and then.

We will be celebrating life & lives – a grandson turning 2 & a dear friend reaching the milestone of 70 !! May everyone keep an eye out for the serendipitous…….

I hope you find treasures that make your heart skip a beat! If the rain would ever stop, I will be out in the garden. If not, I may go to some tag sales. Or, curl up with a book and read until the sound of the rain puts me to sleep. 😉

  15. I was hoping for Saturday Art Saves today.

  16. We are starting our families annual week long vacation to Hilton Head, SC. Our plans are for lots of sun, spirited conversations and great food. Have a great time brocanting!
