Flowers Underfoot

Little flowers underfoot

Thank you little flowers that are underfoot, for giving way without a cry as I pass-by.

Thank you fresh air that fills my lungs restoring me without my constant awareness.

Thank you light that shows me today and guides me towards tomorrow.

Thank you heart for beating, for dancing within me, even when I do not hear your steady song.

Thank you eyes that resemble the eyes of many ancestors, whose shape I recognize in the faces I love, who show me I belong.

Thank you arms that hold me close,

Thank you words of pardon for-giving me courage to try again and again.

Thank you little flowers that reach to the sun after I walk by and scent my days with a fragrance of peace.

What are you thankful for today?

P.S. I am always thankful, that you help keep my brocante bug alive!

I’m thankful that my dog, who has been very ill, is feeling better because of medication, prayers and love. The other dog and cat are well. For good health, a home and garden and a job. For my mother and others who love and care about me. And for my “little sister” Corey.

  8. Thankful for my continued good health, family and friends! Oh, and your blog which is the most enjoyable thing to read on this computer–your words are as exquisite as Irina’s needlework!!

  9. I am thankful and grateful for my first new grandson who is 9 weeks old tomorrow, and for my second grandson who is due to come into this world in less than three weeks. Yep, both our sons wifes – pregnant with first babies this year! TYJ!

  10. Martina I too am happy that your dog is doing better. Animals are family and ask so little but give so much to our lives!

I am thankful that you have shared this with us today. I will copy and print it off as a reminder of how blessed we all are. Please pray for the families in Colorado and the parents of the shooter; they must be in agony as well.

  12. I am also thankful for a place to come on the internet that has such positive energy, thank you Corey.

I’m thankful that I didn’t have to play my harp outside today in the swampy humid heatwave that is southern Minnesota. I’m thankful that I can stay inside in the air conditioning and read your blog!

  14. i am thankful for so many things…not all are things-my dad’s returning health-now if the mind could kinda catch up-for my life- far from perfect and still a few unfulfilled heart’s desires-though all in all pretty dang good-for my sister who is SO GOOD to me and thoughtful-for each and everyone one of my animals even if they try my patience almost constantly-this sounds almost too personal to put here but i am making my annual novena to st anne- at st anne’s parish, and the speaker each night is quite dynamic and he says it is good to put it out there so what i am TRULY MOST THANKFUL for is my relationship with THE FATHER-i work at it- we don’t always see eye to eye and many times i question HIM- yet it remains….glad i have HIM-or more like i am glad HE will have me-my list could go on and with one cat who insists on sounding the alarm at 5 am i must leave the rest for another time another post another enconter -your list -as always -a work of art-
