Your Inner Truth

We have a choice in everything we do.

To bloom where we are planted or not.

To strive to be our best, (even when it is the last thing we want to do,) or be a stick in the mud.

Life continues to continue, but love creates a circle: Open arms, wide enough to encompass buds, blossoms, stems, roots, seed, soil, and thorns.

You’re a beautiful flower, strong and simple, whatever the soil, whatever the bugs… just standing, blooming and spreading your perfume around.

    Thank you, I needed that.

  3. “Bloom where you are planted” – so simple, so deep. Thank you.

  4. Corey, I already looked at your blog this morning and didn’t expect more, but you gave me just the little reminder I needed. Sometimes it helps to have a friend turn over a coin so we can see the other side. Thanks for being that (blogging) friend today.

  5. I can not tell anyhting better than Marie Noelle already have written . We are lucky to know you

Thanks Corey. Your message is my mantra for the day. (Week, month, year…)

  7. I don’t want to survive, I must THRIVE.
Joy is ALWAYS there whether I think so or not.
As Tasha Tudor signed off in her letters, Take Joy.
She’s right. Though the weight of ‘take’ seems impossible at times. I trust it more than the options.
Where is fear in this? Abolished. Conquered.

  8. One of my favorite mantras! I have given my daughter cards with those words on them so many times she must just expect them by now.
I would also like to echo Marie-Noelle’s comment – you spread seeds of joy all around you.

  9. mmmmmm love the statement; “spreading your perfume around.” That would be you Corey. xo

I had never heard the expression “bloom where planted” before reading your blog, Corey. It is now a saying that I try to hold onto as a “philosophy” and one that I use in conversation.

Thank you for sharing those thoughts today. I needed to have my attitude adjusted and your words were enough to do it, and in a gentle way, too.
