Garlic mayonnaise? Tell me more. Do you have a recipe?

  3. How lovely it sounds (and looks).
I could not see the hat wearing child in the field.
The thought of olive oil and that good bread is making my mouth water this morning.

  4. beautiful slices of life-

  5. Love the presentation of the fish soup with those little jars for garlic and mayo ! Presentation is everything, although imagine it was pretty tasty, too.

  6. I need … I want to be in such a beautiful place whilst my parched soul withers in this dirty crime laden city.

  7. Provence is Beauty at it’s utmost. Of course, I love the blue shutters.

  8. Corey you pull at my heart strings, my heart is there in Provence with you, but, unfortunately physically I am here. One day!

  9. Beatnheart, where do you live?

  10. Beautiful! (And I love love love the composition of your photographs.)

  11. This post just about has me ready to move there, LOL. That fish soup looks amazing. Love the orange facade.

Everton Terrace beat me to the joke: I couldn’t see the hat and child in the poppy field either! Also haven’t seen poppy fields in bloom there, nor lavender, mostly cause I’ve travelled in shoulder seasons so missed the crowds and greatest heat but missed the glorious flowers too.
Ah, cicadas. Remind me of open windows, breathless nights, and my Oklahoma childhood.

  13. Beautiful photos Corey, makes me wish I was there on this hot steamy New England day! Just got back from the local farmer’s market where many of the stalls reminded me of your photos 🙂

  14. Provence is beautiful, tasty, fragrant and unhurried.

  15. Although I would love to visit for the brocantes, the color I think would steal my heart. Thank you for the beautiful photos and words.

Beautiful ….in my dreams, I will be there someday 🙂

  18. I will take all of the above thank you…especially that fish soup…how can you even stand to look at that image while on a diet!!

  19. Corey, you with your heartbrakingly beautiful shots and heartpiercingly wonderful words – the very 1st pixie made me sprint to the kitchen where a bottle of first class Pastis is helpfully sleeping amongst my kitchen stuff (yeah, I know, I just say that I use it for cooking…. don’t even know why I keep it there and not with the rest of my drinkies…)!!!!! And no, I shouldn’t drink Pastis (heart takes it unkindly – the about one and only ‘hard’ drink I truly love…) – but gosh – hmmmmh – it is SO good to have one right now! (in the middle of the afternoon!!) – And no, I’m not on a diet; I am (very) cheerful very roundlet (rondelette) woman who enjoys her food and drinks just too much to worry about an early death! Merci for this beautiful bunch of Provencal flowers – I nearly said we have all of this here too (outside Paris) except the sea, nor the fresh olives 🙂 but the heat is less too which suits me better. But you DO paint a picture nobody in his/her right mind could not love deeply.

When I go to France for a visit, looking at 2014, for certain I must visit the villages you have shared with me over the years; Provence is as important in my planning as is time in Paris.
What a delicious way to open the mail each morning – a visit with Corey and exploring the world through your eyes.
    Peace and blessings,
    Kristin

Hi Corey, I can’t wait to get to France and your photos are soooooo inspiring. I want to get a good camera for taking photos on our vacation. What type of camera do you use? Any suggestions for me?
    Aloha,
    Liana

  22. Or, put succinctly, “Provence is a little slice of heaven here on earth!”
