Well Said!!!
What are we doing today? Farmboy Husband and I have watched both summer and winter Olympic coverage on TV together ever since 1968, so we’ll be continuing our tradition with today’s finale.
Before that, I watched what little there was on TV with my dad — most notably the 1960 Squaw Valley [California] Winter Olympics, where film was developed in specially-equipped trucks while they were being driven from the Sierras down to San Francisco, so the film could then be aired nationally on TV sooner than ever before.
waiting for my secnd grandson to be born. (: He was due Friday. waiting, waiting, waiting. (or pretending not to be waiting, waiting, waiting)
Ah yes! I am delighting in being on our staycation. Church last night, so farmer’s market this morning and then a good walk and now a little knitting and then tackling the bushel of tomatoes that I got. I’m trying to put up things for the winter months but it is a good, good day. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
It’s what I’m NOT doing today.
I am not worrying about my husbands melanoma prognosis.
They can take as long as they like with the pathology because until it is in writing, our world does not change.
And that makes me happy.
Nice thought! I will let the day unfold gently.
So. Very. True!
I couldn’t agree more! I’m savouring the day and one of the most beautiful views in the world. We are vacationing in the Vancouver, BC area. The first 4 days were spent seeing and doing as much as possible. We are now in Sechelt, BC on the sunshine coast staying in a beautiful house over looking the water, mountains and numerous small islands. I’ve been sitting outside for 2 hours now just enjoying the view. It feels like heaven on earth.
I just spent about 45 minutes “harvesting” the lavender and putting the blooms in a bowl to dry.Ahhh the smell is intoxicating! The neighbor boy said he would do the rose bed weeding for me later this week(triple exclamation points). So, the remainder of my day will be spent being lazy. May make some more pesto sauce-or not. Karen C-you have an excellent attitude, hope the news is good.
Lunch lasted all day today, next to a friend’s pool. I love these lazy days of summer!
Do not like heat so I am sweating, melting and working on more bangle stacks for my etsy shop before i go on vacation on Weds. LIstening and watching as our baby Mockingbird has left its nest for the first time today…noisy parents guarding and
feeding noisy chirping little baby…lovely.
Such a busy day…first watered and tended to the roses. Then at 10am met my pals at Barnes & Noble..to play bridge . Then home for lunch and next to the farmers market. Bought more 2nds of tomatoes as I plan to can on Tuesday. Home again for a siesta. Read the paper….then showered and dressed for an evening out with friends…..great day….good nite. FRANCO
Thank you, Martina. 30+ years married and now our wedding text – chosen by him – has more meaning than ever. Neh 8:10 The joy of the Lord is my strength.
(as you can see, he has a sense of humor)
Prayers sent your way xxx
How I wish I could follow this advice . . .
My moment was when a friend called me yesterday from France, it has been 8 years and it felt like yesterday, we held the moments talking to each other and I am still in the moment today. As ever, you are spot on.
Got up at 4 am to photograph the Perseid Meteor shower on the Central Coat of CA. The sky was an amazing sight with the crescent moon, Venus, Saturn and all the star configurations. Watching the sun come up reminded me how each day we get a brand new, fresh start…
parfait…perfect 🙂
Hi Corey, Today I am revisiting some of your gorgeous photos. As a favor can you recommend a good camera to use for my photos. Do you mainly use your phone camera or what else?? You always inspire.
Aloha,
Liana
