  1. That is so great! I’ve lost 9.9 lbs in two months. My first goal is another 15.1 lbs then we’ll see.

Well done Corey, I’ve no idea as to my weight as I have no scales in the house, but judging by the way my clothes fit I reckon I’m about the same 🙂
Ha! Must be those cinnamon sticky buns I keep buying each week at our local Farmer’s Market!! They close for the season after Oct. 4, maybe then I’ll get some will power!

  3. and looking good!…..sadly after 2 weeks in turkey i have a long way to go…(not that i’ve started yet)

  4. That’s awesome, Corey! It takes willpower to lose weight – something I need to work on myself! You look elegant as usual. 🙂

  5. That is awesome Corey, you good great!I’ve lost 3. Trying to cut back on gluton and wheat these days. Your glasses kind of remind me of the ones your husband promoted awhile back. Only his were reading and probably yours are prescription. It is fun to try new things.

  6. Congrats to you! I’m stuck at 4 lbs off. I have yet to embrace the “move more”. I have been beading a lot in my spare time and unfortunately the only part of me truly that moves then are my fingers! They are nice and thin!

  7. Amy Kortuem

Good for you! I shared earlier that I started running in earnest at the end of July…and gained 4 pounds! Everybody said it was probaby muscle weight, but I didn’t like it. So I stopped pushing myself so hard. It’s helping.

  8. Congratulations!!! Way to go. I put weight back on when we were en vacances… and now i’ve lost 4 lbs since then.. i hate starting over!! but still going..

    Damn, that’s great!

  11. Way to go Corey! It’s funny how a little here and a little there can add up over time – I suppose that can work both ways but you have done great!
I am improving on the moving more and just today am noticing a difference. Eating less, well, that’s a cyclic thing I’m afraid but I think overall I am doing better. At least I think about it before I pop it i my mouth and that’s an improvement!

  12. Bravo Corey! You look great! I have lost three pounds in three weeks.
Are the roses from an admirer?

  13. Well done!

  18. Way to go Corey! Congratulations.
I really like those framed landscapes on your wall – can’t tell if they are wallpaper or oil paintings. And the white (of course) flowers.

Remember our diet with Sheba before you moved to France? You took it seriously. Sheba and I just wanted an excuse to meet at a restaurant every week. Which, of course, put us at cross purposes but we were infants then. What did we know?

  22. Franca Bollo

And the glasses? Very Carrie Donovan. I vote “yea”.

  23. Yay! Congratulations! Go Corey! Go Corey! Go Co…….

  24. Congrats, I haven’t budged, but I haven’t been taking it all that seriously either.

  25. Congrats Corey! You make me wanna work harder at my journey too.
Thanks for the great updates. Cant wait to read more..

Corey, you look so chic. This week, after the scales seemed stuck, I was surprised at a 3lb. loss this morning.

It is easier with friends encouraging each other. Keeps me mindful when I have to confess each friend 🙂

Oh. You can do it. Don’t think about starting over, just think of taking a new step in a new direction.

  37. Terrific job Corey!

  38. You look great! Certainly seems as if you are feeling great too! Funny how losing weight sometimes changes more than our appearance.
As always, thanks for the inspiration.

Like the new glasses and shoes….you have a bit of an Iris Apfel glasses look going on, just slightly more moderate than hers….but perfect coming in to winter for you to have a darker glasses frame to go with winter clothes.
Well done on the weight change…I have been reading with interest to see your progress…very inspiring as I head in to summer here in New Zealand. I will try your technique….eat less and move more….thanks!

Great accomplishment, it truly is, bravissima. 🙂
Me, just glad I didn’t gain anything. *hehe*
(Not that I was not trying, it seems that every single molecule’s clinging like molasses. Got a new pair of black jeans, to get into autumn mode, clothes-wise.)

  43. Oh you look lovely,
I need to take a page from your book,
your new eyeglasses do make a statement, an artistic statement that is, and chic.
    joanny

  44. Well Done. Congratulations. I haven’t loss a pound but I had good intentions. I joined the Y so I am moving more. I too wish I could start over but you are right we can start now.
    You look beautiful.

  45. violet cadburry

I found the weight you lost, it’s added a few inches to my spare tire:) How come other people’s weight loss looks so easy. I have 30 pounds to lose but keep losing and gaining the same 5 pounds. You are inspiring me to keep at it. Love the glasses, kinda like Mr. Magoo retro.

  46. You look beautiful Corey. (before and after 9.5) You have great hair! Just gorgeous! Congrats on the steady weight loss!

  47. jend’isère

And you had fun along the way! Have a blast for your final countdwon for sure.

  48. Congrats, that is wonderful! A stay with it attitude and discipline has paid off, and you have inspired many to do the same! Win,win!! xoxo jody

  50. Cheryl ~ Casual Cottage Chic

Oh what I would give to weigh only 138 lbs!!!
    You go girl 🙂

  51. pam in oregon

I weighed in at just under 130. Yay, I’m getting closer to my goal. I don’t care how much I weigh, I just want to fit size 6 again. That is where I look and feel the best.
You look wonderful and so, so happy. I wish I were brave enough to go for a chic look. Sometimes I think I’ll give it a try (as if I could ever look tres chic- haha) then I worry that people will find me silly looking.
Now that I’m in my mid-50’s and in a new life situation (empty nest and single), trying to find my new normal, maybe I’ll make it my goal to be a new chic me.
Thanks for blogging every day. You are a bright spot in a dreary day!

  52. Hi Corey, I don’t visit much these days – haven’t blogged in weeks.. since menopause the weight has been creeping on and I have started an eating plan a few weeks back too. but the past two weeks have been a struggle to stick to. I want to lose some weight as we go to UK in 4 weeks!
just wondering what your starting weight was?

  53. Congrations!

  54. Oops! Congratulations! I knew that didn’t look right.

  55. Nice, but where did you get those adorable shoes?
    Love them…..

  56. Corey…better late than never. Congrats on the weight (I am fighting the same battle – doctors orders (and mine)…not easy but slowly it will come off.
But I had to write to say LOVE the glasses…I found that as I get older & more confident, its so much fun to do something different than the crowd. Very cool and they look great on you! Ruth

  57. That is fantastic! Congrats! You look and sound wonderful.. Love the glasses and the shoes! You Hipster you!
