Do What You Love

Light

Do what you love.

Is it that easy?

When we are hurting?

When we are afraid?

When we are ill?

When there is pain or sadness at our doorstep?

What does it mean to do what you love?

If we do what we love, will happiness follow?

Will it pave the ground underfoot with a softer step?

If we do what we love does it bring a spark in the darkness?

Love just do it

Do what you love.

Do what you love.

Do what you love.

For no other reason but for the sake of loving.

  4. Corey that has been my mantra and now for the first time in my life it really means something to me…I said so what if I don’t make a lot of money I need to do this..
i love to do this…i love learning and growing. what i am doing makes sense to me and all the pieces are just falling together. Today I felt it stronger than ever…I told myself that I am not just putzing around aimlessly…I am working…I am thinking…
It feels so damn good and so darn right….
Thanks in so many ways to you…my angels are lining up to help and you are one
    of them..

  5. i don’t know….i really need to think about this-i need to think what is it that i really love to do-

  6. Yes, the song is All We Need is Love! My post on my blog today says just that.

  7. I love to take care of animals and probably would have become a veterinarian had it been possible. Unfortunately today I had to have my most beloved, very ill and elderly dog euthanized. I loved that dog so much and there are lots of wonderful memories of the past nearly 15 years we shared. Out of love, I had to make the decision. She passed peacefuly away by the statue of St. Francis in the garden. The vet crying almost as much as me. Will I continue doing what I love? Yes, despite the sad times, there are so many wonderful times when you have pets.

Merci! Exactly when I need to put things into perspective!

  9. Corey – I love how you hit me with this kind of inspiration. It kinda knocked the breath out of me, in a good way!
I’ve been playing my harp so much that I’m exhausted – through heat and wind and long weekends – but it’s what I love. And it makes people happy. And that makes me happy.
Also – I’ve been writing so much lately on my book/memoir and hav been submitting some essays for publications.
Doing what I love. It’s all I can do!

  10. Congratulations on your first book! I’d love to hear more about it!

  11. I have been doing it this year in hopes of leaving my job…I opened an antique space in a fabulous antique mall and am loving it! karen….

  12. I took the decision of living Love (with captial L) in everything I do – and if I can’t love what I (have to) do, I try to at least like it… but in the end everybody does love someone/something/somewhere and does so wholeheartedly, without thinking if it would bring a reward, just because!Just as you said in your post.
The ‘reward’ of LOVE lies in itself; it takes the hurt away, it diminuishes pain, adds colour and taste, eases bad feelings and YES, it hurts (often!). Still, it’s the best ‘thing’ to do – so let’s do it, because we CAN…
    Love, Kiki

Oh those beautiful teacups … my students nicknamed me the Queen Bee, so with the red roses, the Eiffel Tower and the crown … they stole my heart! Here is my favorite memory to date from a recent trip to Pareeeeee —
Leisurely floating up the Seine past all the greatest treasures and most romantic sights on a river cruise … on the sun deck with a glass of great wine, a chunk of decadent cheese, and my sweetheart on our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. An accordian player was seranading us and we reveled in the romance of the moment.
