My favorite is a soup recipe baked in a Long Island pumpkin. The recipe came from Gourmet, I believe.

  3. That pumpkin at your cousin’s house is amazing. I always wondered how they did that.

  4. I have been wondering how that was done. Thanks! Next year I will do one for my grandson.
Favorite recipe is Pumpkin bread. I think I must make some soon.

  5. Enjoy Cali with you hubby and fam today. I like slicing the pumpkin thin, peeling it, and rolling it up in a puff pastry w/ some sugar, cornstarch and spices. Sliced up it’s halfway between pumpkin and apple pie.

  6. I did not know pumpkins were prone to keloid-type scarring.

  7. Must admit this is new to me, looks fabulous!

  8. Forgot to mention I really love the urn too 🙂

  9. This is so cool! I will have to try this sometime.

  10. Me too…I wouldn’t wish a Keloid scar on any vegetable, let alone a human. 🙁
    Not impressed.

  11. I adore this…who would have thunk it! xxpeggybraswelldesign.com

  12. Corey what a lovely project for my next summer’s pumpkin and winter squash patch…Thanksgiving table will be so delightful with pumpkins for everyone…a lovely, most special way to say how thankful I am for my family.

I bought one of these from Remnant of the Past Antique Show three yeaers ago and have been trying to grow my own pumpkins for two yrs. now….utter failure, all blooms – not one pumpkin. Course I’m going for the heirloom varieties, maybe I should scale back and try the plain ole’ orange! Thanks so much for the instructions! Pam
