Please Pray

Our friend, who tried to commit suicide, who seemed to be doing better, who has lived with us off and on for the last few months, and went with us to Willows…. tried again.

I have no words.

Please pray for healing and courage,

we are going to the hospital now…

  6. I am sorry to hear that your friend has attempted suicide once again and wish s/he the very best of care and recovery at the hospital. Take good care of yourselves, first and foremost. You have to put the yellow mask on yourself first before you can help the other people in the plane. It sounds like you have been doing an enormous amount to support this friend and I wish you all the very best.

  7. Adding my prayers to the others – Lord have mercy. And may he give you strength as you are his hands extended to this dear friend.

  13. I am going through this with my 13 year old daughter. Depression is a real illness. Not something you can snap out of or get over without help. It’s terribly frustrating and heart breaking because there’s not much you can do for someone going through it other than being there.

  14. I love your analogy about the yellow mask. So spot-on!

  32. Dear Corey
I am so sorry to hear this. I have been dealing with the depression of my 20 year old daughter for over three years now and it is very tough. Sometimes it is as hard for the people who love the sufferer as it is for the sufferer. Depression is so awful. I really hope that your friend can get through all of this with the right care as life really is beautiful although he is not able to see that at the moment. He is very lucky and blessed to have the support and friendship of yourself and Yann.

The wisdom to know the difference.

I am so very sad for you and will indeed keep your friend in my thoughts and prayers.
The angel prism/crystal that I purchased from you is now with my dear friend, who suffered a brain aneurysm over three weeks ago. She has yet to come back to us but I’m hoping that her “guardian angel” will see her through this difficult time. Life is so very fragile and we all need to savor each and every precious moment that we’re given.

  52. If only sheer numbers of caring hearts could cure, your friend would surely heal. Sending strength to you and Yann, and peace to your friend.

Even though I am not a religious person, when I am troubled, this gives me comfort..
“Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and
    give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ;
give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the
afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love’s sake. Amen.”

We need them. We love them.
Let them feel our love, and Your love, Lord Jesus.
Lord, we ask that you comfort the suicide survivors.
Remind them that they are very special people.
Remind them that they are heroes.
Fill their minds with beautiful memories and loving thoughts.
Provide them with everything that they need Lord.
    Ease their pain.
    Give them hope.
    Give them comfort.
    Give them guidance.
    Help them heal.
Let them feel our love, and Your love, Lord Jesus.

May the Angels hold you all within their wings.
Gentle Hugs and Much Love Sue/Cottesloe Western Aust.

  84. YES; you are all included in my prayers. I sleep very little these times and I am amazed every night about the number (or rather names) of people I can pray for.
May I also ask to be included in yours? We ALL need to be mentionned to God, the Swiss French call praying for someone ‘warming God’s feet’… A lovely expression; you can see how HE feels good about that!
    Gros bisous, Kiki

  85. Dear Corey,
I don’t know you except through your beautiful blog which I recently discovered. I have so enjoyed reading your posts and learning more about you. You posts make it so evident that you are such a generous and loving person. And now I read this.
I am so sorry that you are faced with such a difficult visit today and so incredibly sad for your friend and the demons he/she is facing. I pray that God will remove the evil that has consumed this person and made them somehow believe that this is the answer. They must be in such unbearable pain to do this, but God is so good. And so strong. So much stronger than the evil that has made its way in. He loves your friend more than he/she could ever know. And He can do ANYTHING – even remove this evil that has had made such an impact. God is good and will never leave us or forsake us. We never know the difficult thoughts, feelings, and actions we will face as we move through this life. What we DO know is that God is there, through it all. Feelings come, and feelings go. Emotions change. People change. But God is never-changing.
I pray for complete healing for your friend. I pray for strength and wisdom for you and your husband. God has place you by their side right now for a reason. I pray you will find the strength to gently and lovingly remind them that they will not always feel this way. There is a light at the end of this darkness they’re facing.
Please keep us up to date with what is happening. You have an army of praying people out there who are holding your friend, you, and your husband up to our Lord and asking for comfort and peace.
    Take care and blessings.
    Nan
