If I had that sink I would just hang out there all day admiring it and wouldn’t get anything else done.

  2. How much would that cost to send to the U.S.? That could be your “pay back” to the post office lady.

  3. Yes. Do you have first dibs? May I be next?

  4. You didn’t tell us the bad news…how much it weighs!
BTW you need to apply for a Carte Pro at the post office. Always first in line, no waiting:) The Rousse you will still have to deal with though…

  5. Beautiful…unique…..I am drooling over!! So many things you could do with it. I am. curious how or what you will do with it?

  6. YES!!!

  7. did you buy it? looks like it weighs a ton….bet your red head at the post office would love it?

  8. Yes, beautiful and classic!

ooooo I stayed in a farm house in Italy a few years ago that used these types of sinks in the renovation….every sink was a handmade work of art!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

  10. Beautiful, but rather shallow. I am more for the deep end ….
Sorry to spoil the party. 😉

  11. Yes!
I just sent you an emil… I hope we can meet up soon… xv

  12. the sink is wonderful, the postal clerk a savage..yes?
your capturing life in prose? priceless, but it could be sold within pages of a book you know. wonderful!!!xoxo

  13. I am assuming you meant that “wouldn’t this be the best sink for the new apartment”…not for re-sale.
If you are installing a washer & dryer in the apartment yes this is a nice sink. If not, it will be pretty shallow if someone wants to wash their unmentionables in it, no?
I have to admit that I am not a fan of the new sink revolution where they sit above the counters surface by 6 to 8 inches. All I can picture is water running down my arms while washing my face and small children needing a step ladder to wash their hands.

Great for “everything but the kitchen sink”. Or you never let dishes stack up.

  15. Beautiful!!!!!!!
    Gentle hugs,

  16. Oh, yes please!

  17. Yes, it would !!!

  18. It is gorgeous! I would have it outdoors with water flowing through it all day for the birds and myself. 🙂

  19. LOVE IT!!!

  20. It is absolutely gorgeous!

  21. Kathleen

Did this “sink” start out in life as a holy water font?

  22. Nancy in Solana Beach

I just love the sink!!! Very classy!!!

  23. That sink would be perfect. Go for it!

  24. yes-perfect-love it- want it!

  25. Yes! You can ship it to me A.S.A.P. 🙂

  26. Oh I LOVE that! Could you get the butcher to weigh that one and ship it to me?!!

Oh My! I’m building a Zen Garden and need a water element. This would be perfect to use with the solar water fountain I found! Marble is the best! Dealing with gophers and moles I decided to terrace this small garden in front of my house instead of watering and mowing.

  28. How perfect is that! wonderful! xxpeggybraswelldesign.com

  29. Yes!!!!
    Oh to renovate in france!!

  30. Barbara from Sydney

Gorgeous Corey but remember this is to be a rental and many people will use it. If the marble is porous it will stain. I love it though.

  31. Beautiful!! But I would use it in the home in Provence instead 🙂

  32. The sink of beautiful and very Provencal looking – congratulations on your find!

  33. Frank Levin

Gorgeous, but pushing the limits of practicality as mentioned above. Considering the minute sinks in many French apartment kitchens I might opt for something deeper in the bath.

une main lave latre (one hand washes the other, if I spelled that right!)

  35. YES YES YES!!!

  36. I hope you bought the sink?HOW MUCH?I carted one home via boat when we lived in ITALY.It now sits in my garden! So, I can rinse the veggies before bringing up to LA CASA!I do not remember how much I paid but it was cheap back then.I also brought back an old door……that is now our pizza table outside!Took 18 years to find a purpose for that and almost as long for the sink!

  37. YES!!!!!
Our kitchen sink is a single (huge) block of carved-out soapstone, and we love it.
I love finding unique quirks in places that we stay… they make a trip memorable.
(love the idea of mailing it though… hehehe…)

  38. Corey, you can stick with three colors or tone on tone. Everything works well together. I just finished restoring my 1830 house and used those pales and neutrals everywhere. The antiques pop against the lovely grays, ochres, earth tones.
I love the portrait of Madame, the sofa, the gray cupboard with old books. Hooray for you and French Husband. Go for Louis XVI, my favorite period for French. Oh, to live in France and find those treasures!
    Carry on!

  39. Nice chunk of pretty!
