How can I stay true to three colors?
Too many styles intice me, Napolean III, Louis 16th, rustic, romantic, brut, Gardenware….
And know to add to the fun, French Husband has an opinion, and I like it. He found the portrait of Madame du Croc.

What fun to get to start from scratch and complete the whole thing rather than gathering items slowly over the years. I’m sure however you clothe your apartment, it will be beautiful.

too exciting for words!
i too am enticed by many things. but think of it this way, maybe in your apartment you can have an inventory book/list of what you would sell if someone fell in love with a particular item. then you could keep brocanting to your hearts desire, fill and refill with the continual flow of finds, and we would all be very very happy. the beginning!xo jody -
Jody’s idea is brilliant! It would be like a Paris apartment/gallery/antique shop. Anyone who stayed there would love your style and want items to take home. Then you would “have to” go brocanting to replace items sold.
-
No. Brocante. Please.

Corey, you have such a wonderful sense of style. Choose the things that you love for the apartment, no matter the era, and they will commune together like beautiful old souls. By the way, the marble sink from yesterday is marvelous! I would pay to stay in your apartment just for the sink alone.

A message for Brother Mat, from the lovely Madame du Croc.
If you must pout.
French, pout.
With more whimper, whine and grunt. -
well i adore the protrait for sure but that bulletin board with ALL THAT OLD PAPER -that is something to behold-that apartment will be a living breathing work or art reflecting the styles tastes and love shared between the two life partners-i am so looking forward to the end result….but i know the journey is the real glory-
-
Whomever stays there I can tell will be in for a real treat, sharing with the madame.

Just too exciting! It’s fun enough searching for great things when decorating a space. But to be doing it in Paris… For your own apartment in Paris… Be still my heart!
-
Perhaps Brother Mat would approve if he knew what a Croque Madame is?

You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. This is such an exciting endeavor!!! Love going along on the ride with you. -

I would love to have a Mme du Croc at home with me….!
-
So exciting! I’m in love with that book case. I would use it in my kitchen … if I had a bigger one.
-
Fun to search and find the various items that reflect your personality – I especially like the bookcase – enjoy!

How fun that he has an opinion and you like it! What great stuff you have to shop among too!
-
Oh The power of agreement! FH is your hero….now work from that portraits style, mimicking her clothing in curtains and upholstery, add some contrasts, you are on to an awesome adventure and I know it will evolve into perfection! (or the right type of imperfection?)

Whatever you decide, just make sure there’s a railing and grippy surface (or bathmat) in the tub or shower!
