Deep the joy of being together in one heart
and for me that’s just where it is.All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you.
All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you.As we make our way through all the joys and pain,
can we sense our younger, truer selves?Someone will be calling you to be there for a while.
Can you hear the cry from deep within?Laughter, joy and presence: the only gifts you are.
Have you time? I’d like to be with you.Persons come into the fiber of our lives,
and then their shadow fades and disappears. All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you.

That is so lovely Corey, thank you so much for sharing it with us. It affected me deeply. It reminded me of someone I really need to call and have been resistant to doing so and another someone I had lost contact with and has now left us, leaving no more chances. Sometimes the gift of our presence is so hard to give, such a challenge when there is so much pain. But at the end of the day, loving is all its about, huh?!
(This also led me to some lovely links.)
Happy weekend to you! -
Beautiful. Thank you.

I remember singing this in school….is that possible?

Lovely poem. Reminds me of why I wanted Carole King’s Tapestry song played at my funeral….long time from now I hope! And regarding your name, Corey, I had to laugh. The French are always correcting ME on my name! Of course, they must know better than my parents. Named after Patrice Munsel, they tell me my name could not possibly be Patrice but Patricia. I’ve given up, honestly. Hope your back will be back to normal soon.

This was just what I needed to read today. We buried one of my dearest friends, dead at 55 from Breast Cancer.
“As we make our way through all the joys and pain,
can we sense our younger, truer selves?
All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you.”
That. -

I was married in Vermont and we went to the Weston Priory for our honeymoon. It is such a beautiful place. What a lovely reminder.
