Mother and Son

Mother and Son walking

Yann's mother was with us on the last leg of the trip. As we had no plan other than to arrive in Marseille sooner or later, we asked her if there was anywhere she wanted to visit between Rennes and our home.

My Belle Mere (mother in law) mentioned a village she had seen years ago. We told her we were taking the back roads, and like the trooper she is, she was up for the adventure.

My Belle Mere amazes me. Simply makes eighty three look like sixty. I would say forty but then I would feel like a slug at the fifty some I am.

Mother and Son

She amazes me.

So does her son.

I’ve heard the advice that if a man treats his mother well, he is the one you want to marry. Looks like you really scored on that count. He must adore you both.

  17. Hello Corey. I have so enjoyed your adventures these last days. And, I Thank You for your photos of the French Countryside, as they have proven to be inspiring with regards to my Dad and his love of painting. Recovering from eye surgery last week(doing very well) and then the second eye next week, he cannot wait to put your photos to oil. But, the Pics of your Mother In-law and her son, your Husband, take my breath away and I Thank You for sharing with us these tender moments and the awe-inspiring connection of Family. Thank you lovely Corey for this message of pure love and adoration. I wish I could have such feelings for my mum in law. I try truly, truly hard but don’t always completely succeed. It’s a work in progress.
The pair of them is just so, so lovely – and so are your words, including the sentence about feeling sluggish…. in comparison with your mil! 🙂 I love you
