It Ain’t Pretty, But it is Gonna Be!

And so it begins… The apartment in Paris. First step: Bring the supplies up to the third floor.
Second step: Drink a beer.

I like that broken clay/tile floor. Hey, be glad it is only three floors! Of course it would be nice if there was an elevator, but c’est la vie. Keep us updated. It is fun to watch a remodel without having to pay the bills.

Lugging everything up those stairs reminds me that here in my waterfront town, I’ve been noticing men carrying many buckets of soil/debris from a narrow home between house and water, up steep stairs to trucks on the street level. The two narrow garages at front prevented our seeing what was going on — the world’s largest landscape project? — til the other afternoon when the workers had all gone. The entire house is GONE. Apparently they’ve removed an entire 2 story house from the lot, up stairs to the street, by hand.
The irony is that there’s an empty lot right next door. I guess they tried for and were denied access to the construction lot from the empty one.
Let’s here it for strong workers and beer!

I’m not sure if you have those 2 steps in the right order!!
