  2. 24/7 in France

Quiche – easy to make and many varieties to do!

I love quiches and tartes, served with a fresh salad it is perfect for lunch.
But your friends’ blinis look very yummy, too.
    Bonne journée, Monika

  4. I have eaten quite a few times in THAT bistro in Cotignac!!!!
Not with Denise but at the very spot of your 1st& prob also other pixie!!!! I LOVE Cotignac – wonderful memories spring to my tired mind.
I regularly ‘do’ a huge salad with whatever is in ample season, TASTY French toms, with rocket leaves to spice them up, échalotes, fresh herbs and adding some crushed walnuts (I love nuts with literally everything), and some baguette slices with either butter or cheese, whatever is at hand…
I also frequently add a coloured glass filled with cazpacho, crowned with a mint leaf from the garden – wonderful, fresh & satisfyingly healthy.
I’m sadly not in a position to comment regularly and after my really long comment on your appt. (the one with the Leroy Merlin references which I dutifully checked out and commented) went lost (or got where? I’m sure it was my erratic handling of a not very well known PC abroad…), I’m even more discouraged – but I ALWAYS can talk about food, friendship, love and interaction. Bon appétit : )
    bisous, Kiki

  5. Whatever my favorite lunch is just flew out of my mind when I saw the Denise’s blinis! The look marvelous.

  6. I think I like Denise! I haven’t made lunch for a long time — apart from what I bring to work. But when I retire next month, I’m planning to host regular lunch for friends. I have quiche on the menu and if it’s still tomato season, gazpacho. Then soup season! Can’t wait!

  7. Quiche or gazpacho are favorites, but these blinis look so wonderful. Now I want to run to the kitchen and make them. If only I had the supplies in the kitchen.

Eat at Your Desk Lunch Menu:
Turkey on sliced sourdough, hold the mayo and mustard, slather on a thick layer of olive tapenade, top with mixed greens, tomato, and avocado.
Oh, how I would love to be luncheon lady..

So,that fountain face is still there? In the square? That would be sweet spouting water in bathroom of the apartment!!

  11. I love your photos, Corey. The blinis look heavenly. I think my favorite for lunch is a caprese salad (what do they call it in France?) I love the vine ripened tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil, and of course excellent olive oil and balsamic vinegar with crusty baguette or SF sourdough and a crisp white wine. I also add a wonderful slice of fresh cantaloupe and a rich cafe au lait. Makes me hungry just writing this. Gulp!

  12. Favorite lunch entrée to serve? That all-American favorite: Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup! For dessert, chocolate pudding or ice cream.

Oh boy! I’ve just been looking promising vacation rental houses in Cotignac for next summer. Makes me excited just seeing these photos.
