La.

So bad … Nobody is dieing, we are okay.
But the apartment.
Dang.
When I can write I will but first I need to keep Yann and Regis from flipping out.

  1. Merde! I’m sorry to hear it–and afraid to hear what IT is. I do know sometimes shit happens and there isn’t always some grandiose higher purpose to it–sometimes it just blows. Profound, I know.

  2. “Hope” is the thing with feathers
    That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all …

  3. So sad to hear of all the problems. You were so joyous just a week ago. As my friend Sandy reminds me when these things happen, “We are lucky that we only have to deal with first world problems.” Be the soothing, gentle wind that helps to blow all this away. Hugs from Boulder to everyone solving the problems.

  5. I am so curious! And I’m sorry for whatever it is.
If it’s any consolation we have a nasty mouse/wood rat problem here! This morning the stockpile of TP in the bathroom looked like Swiss cheese from their finding it and taking bits for their nests! and our front doorbell keeps mysteriously chiming (last time at 3am) because they have chewed the wires.

  6. OK guys, take some slow deep breaths and repeat after me: “Bird by bird.” “Bird by bird.” “Bird by bird.” Slowly but steadily, you’ll get through this setback and finish.

  7. On the plus side, your pedicure seems to be holding up nicely 🙂

  8. Oh Corey. I hope things will be rectified soon. Your beautiful apartment will be whole again, and you will appreciate it even more after these woes. Miss you!

  9. So sorry, Corey! Prayers from here…

  10. Corey – most people facing your situation do not have as many friends as you have all wishing you the best of luck in “in your hour of need” – I believe Clint Eastwood said that in two Mules For Sister Sara to Shirley McClaine…and it worked for him…

I was also thinking: most people in the US think oh la la means something entirely different than the French. You really didn’t have to go to such great lengths to teach us the real meaning..haha.

  15. Pas vraie! So sorry to hear this, Corey. Got to keep the pretty toes going. They anchor in the most courageous way.
