  4. Now Corey, now I really feel the urge to get out of my hiding place from where I have followed your journey for quite some time now. I simply love your humour, your way of writing, your beautiful images, your amazing touch in furnishing the Paris apartment and your friendly heart that shows between the lines. Being married to a Frenchie myself, with parents-in-law living part-time in Provence and in Paris, I always felt at home reading your lines. Now, that you reopen your antiques shop, I merely wanted to wish you good luck on your path, happy customers (which I am sure they will be) and as many brocantes in your area as possible!
I am looking forward to following you not only on your blog (which is the first thing I read in the morning with my mug of coffee handy) but also in your online brocante. I see that many items are reserved or sold (which is not a bad thing for you), but I am sure I too will be lucky sometime and get some of your treasures myself).
Sorry, that was a long comment! But I needed to tell you how your blogging brings the Provence light into my dull autumn home in Berlin. Thanks so much for sharing your world!
    A bientôt,
    Manu

Re-arranging Brocante buys in my home!

  6. As I like wine better than brocantes (sorry, please still be my friend) I like to go to wine tastings 🙂
    and cooking and gardening, too!

  7. Free time? Solving puzzles (crosswords, anacrostics, cryptograms, brain-teasers, etc.). I’ve concluded that translating’s just another form of puzzle-solving 😉

  8. Laugh and talk with friends, movies, books eating, playing, general tomfoolery…

  9. Playing, friends and general tomfoolery!

  10. knitting, reading, being with friends, Reading your blog!

  11. Carolyn from Pittsburgh

write in my journal. Research items I find at sales and the thrift store. Pinterest! Read. Design favors
for the holiday dinners. Today two pretty yellow
casseroles from the 1960’s came home with me.

  12. I recently read about making boutis so I was very interested in the silver kit. I presume the long pointy thing is for stuffing the filling into the stitched channels. It’s a beautiful craft, but rather time-consuming, I would think. Do you know anyone who does boutis?
In my spare time – ooh, reading, sewing – dreaming about returning to France!
