Forever Paris, Forever Friends

Forever paris

Last year Pat Savoy a blog friend of mine sent me a book called: Forever Paris.

Pat is family to John. John is the one who offered French Husband and I to stay in one of his vacation rental homes in Mexico. We stayed three glorious weeks.

I love the connections blogging brings!

Pat offered us Forever Paris for our apartment.

Forever Paris is a book with 25 walks in the footsteps of Chanel, Hemingway, Picasso and more.

It is easy to follow, has well defined maps, full of details that brings history alive.

One of the maps takes you close to our apartment: In the foot steps of Henri Cartier Bresson.

Bresson one of the world first photojounalists said, "Photography is not a documentary, but an intuition, a poetic experience." Bresson's museum is near our apartment.

Pat, such a lovely gift and act of kindness!

Thank you so very much! Paris Forever is sitting on the nightstand in our apartment for future seekers of Paris to use.

Lucky are all those who will get to read/use it. While staying in your apartment.

  2. Love the photograph of the young boy. What could he be thinking? This photograph is presently on exhibit at The Harn Museum of Art on Gainesville, Florida. Love that you chose to include it on your post.

What an imaginative concept for the book. And how thoughtful of Pat to give it to you.
