Ten years ago I had the pleasure of meeting and buying these paintings from Catherine.
The mix media approach that Catherine used caught my attention. The paintings spoke to me. The day to day pieces of a French cafe came alive… the roll of the dice, the pastis and broken bread, the burnt red receipt holder…
Catherine paints many other moments, feelings, landscapes… but these took my hand.

"Born in the suburbs of Paris in 1952, Catheine was lucky to travel for some years (Asia, North Africa) she lived for some time in different countries… the United States, New Zealand and Australia. Catherine has always loved drawing, pastels, oil & collage, taking many art classes along the way…Since 1991 Catherine has lived in Aix-en-Provence where her art has been exhibited.
"Since 2010 I really enjoy sharing these creative times, travel sketchbook workshops… an obvious art form to teach with my background. It is another way to travel, rich of what we share."
