Saturday Art Saves: Janice MacLeod

Each Saturday I focus on a different artist that I admire. From potters to painters, chefs to collectors, seamstress to songwriters, lifestyle to lovers… anyone who set the paintbrush, pastry brush, hands and heart on fire to create.

Those who inspire art to flow where it may.

Canadian artist Janice MacLeod chronicles her story as a 34 year old singleton
living as a copywriter in LA to her move and marriage to a Polish man living in Paris.
The book is fun and the story addictive.
Stories of dreams come true and this is one of those.
Delightful, witty, full of Oh la la Charm.

As well, Janice wrote:

"Each month I create a letter about Paris. I paint it, copy it and personalize it with your name. Then I mail it off in the post with a pretty stamp. People love getting fun mail. It’s good old fashioned mail with a French flair. Since January 2012, I’ve sent out thousands of letters." Via  Janice MacLeod

“Nothing better than to come home to a beautifully written letter from Paris.”
– Joanna F.

  1. I have purchased from some of the artists you have featured before…thank you for sharing them with us. When I saw Janice MacCloud in the first few lines I smiled vey big. Her book was delightful and I had to limit my reading time as i wanted to race straight through. I have been receiving her letters for some time. She was the featured author of dec.2013 LETTRES D’UN INCONNU-a service in which 2 French letters arrive each month from strangers- the topics/authors vary another really INTERESTING concept. Highly recommend both!

  2. Thanks for the introduction. I do follow Paris Parfait and had heard of her, but didn’t really visit her blog or etsy shop.

  3. Janice is EVERYwhere right now! Her book was so good 🙂 🙂 Do you receive her letters?
