It has been nearly six years ago that my father died, April 29th.
But today would have been his birthday.
Whatever heaven is or isn't one thing is certain, he is riding the with the wind full throttle, and that image alone is satisfying.

Corey…I posted a similar note about my darling father on Facebook a week ago…my father would’ve been 94 on the sixth of April. It was lovely to see several friends who knew him respond with sweet words.
I’ve read more than once about how a girl’s father sets the “gold standard” for the men to come in her life – my father set that bar ver-r-r-ry high, God bless him.
He was steadfast and lovely, as your father was, from all your sweet words written about him since I’ve been reading your blog.
Girl, we are blessed.
all best, from Judy

Happy Birthday Uncle George and my brother Curtis too. He also likes to ride with the wind.
Happy Birthday George. I imagine there are lots of toast to him at the bar in the barn. One thing is certain, everyone in Willows loved, loved him. Great man.
Wishing you only happy memories as you honor your father’s birthday today.
Absolutely. Riding free after the best of full lives.
He looks like such a sweetheart. What a lucky girl to call him your dad. Sending hugs!
It is good to keep the love alive. What a handsome man with an award winning smile,, so sweet, your Dad. Happy Birthday where ever you are.-
— I cannot believe it has been six years already, we all grieved with you and your family for those who were following you at that time, and many of us still are following you today and your wonderful American and French family and your friends, with the daily ups and downs, and wonderful moments in between.
Where has the time gone?
Thinking of you, Corey.
Corey, it’s interesting how we both seem to ‘celebrate’ the birthday of our departed dads in quite a similar fashion:
