Vienna

For beginners:

Coffee Houses.

Vienna is more than that, of course it is.

That is IF you can pull yourself away from the siren's call.

Vienna for beginners…

Coffee houses are part of the cultural experience.

Dive in.

Eating as always merisi photograph

We drank and ate some.

With each step, came another coffee house.

Or another authentically charming place with the "feel" that chanted,

"A must, you must, Vienna wouldn't be Vienna if you didn't?!"

We dove in quite often.

Trzesniewski was one of those places.

Fortunately, being able to say its name wasn't a password for entering.

Trzesniewski was created in the beginning of the 1900s.

Yum o photo Yann and Corey by Merisi

Bite size open face sandwiches.

With toppings as homey as:

Cucumbers,

Egg,

Anchovy for Yann,

Cream cheese…

Plus

Teeny tiny beers.

My size.

And here I can honestly say,

"Sooooooooo cute!"

Those teeny tiny mugs of beer were called,

"Pfiff".

Around the corner, several steps away, not enough to work up a sweat, where guilt nor fear of another kilo gained, Demel's,another historical coffee house, sang to the tune of violet and pistachio.

Add home made whipped cream just to say,

"Corey, have you heard of waltzing?"

Demel's

Hand made ice cream:

Hazelnut

with coffee whipped cream,

Carmel harden glaze with

sinfully soaked prunes.

Cute legs from walking in Vienna

Tell me how could I deny such a partner?

Baby let's waltz the next time we are in Vienna.

Thank you Merisi for your friendship, generosity, and such fun loving photos.

xxx.

Corey, wonderful pictures. I especially like the ones with the mini-beers….they look just slightly larger than shot glasses. And Yann has great legs, lol. What is that thing, a stool for a host outside the restaurant?

  2. The picture of hubby is hilarious!

  3. Hi Diogenes, Yes it was a stool sitting outside a cafe in Vienna. The other day you asked what language we spoke. Merisi speaks German, Italian and English fluently. Lieselotte speaks German, French and English fluently. Dieter speaks German and English fluently. Yann speaks French and English fluently.
    English.

I loved that first photo of the two of you together.

  5. Haha!! Too much coffee and sweets for Yann!! 🙂 🙂

  6. well, i didn’t have to play “i-spy-corey” in these photos! like i have been having fun doing, in merisi’s blog. 🙂
    tessa~

  7. It looks like you had so much fun!
Now I want to visit Vienna too.
Maybe I will find that very stool.

  8. Oh my goodness! So much fun! I love the tiny glasses of beer, and that last photo of Yann nearly made me choke on my tea!

  9. Corey, in the photo where Yann is showing off his legs, he looks to me like he could be a brother to the actor Woody Harrelson!

  10. And I’d like those half-size mugs of beer too. That way I’d have them drank before they got warm.

  11. Ok…so off topic here….but I think you and the hubs have the BEST hair! Just sayin’.
    😉

What a goof ball! His amused grin in the “legs photo” really sets it off.
My favorite photos, though, are the two little ones of you two sipping/eating Teeny Tiny Things. (Read that in high squeaky voice of course)
