Poppies, Brownies and Motorcycles

French poppies Spring Corey Amaro photography

Poppies they are appearing on the side of the road and mingled with the spring wheat. The fields around our town look promising, I might not have to search for a field of red poppies this year. Unless the wheat goldens before the field is full.

My fingers are crossed.

Sacha has his motorcycle license. He is coming home this weekend. Do I dare ask for a ride?

Sacha asked if we could make brownies this weekend… sounds safer than what I am thinking to ask.

Sacha little boy

How can this little boy be old enough to have a motorcycle to give me a ride?

Crazy. It really does go fast. Well after the first years of sleepless nights that is.

I would rather have these chou with whipped cream then a brownie and you?

Maybe Sacha and I will make both.

Oh Provence! I love this time of year! Poppies are the beginning of the display of seasonal color.

Riding a motorcycle this time of year is the best too.

French Husband just informed me that I cannot ride with Sacha, “He needs experience first.”

Well I guess I will have to ride with the handsome old man, that won’t be hard to do.

I prefer experience rider.

But I will make brownies.

    Hi Corey!
It is so frustrating not receiving your posts via email! I followed your advice and signed up with Bloglovin, but it is not the same. It takes you to the post but not to the site. I know other bloggers are addressing this issue also. I’ve been following you for years and can’t pass a day without reading your blog, but I sure hope it is resolved soon.
Have you noticed a decline in number of readers? I hope not.

  3. Have a wonderful weekend with your son!

  4. If you just google tongue in cheek I find it is the second thing that pops up. You can also bookmark it and it goes right to it. Not as convent as going straight to email but it works.

  5. Thanks for sharing the beautiful colors of Provence every year. The whole weekend sounds splendid. I have a weekend of working on the house in preparation for a graduation party. My youngest son will be off playing Ultimate Frisbee — don’t ask.

  8. Tooling around on our motorcycle through New Hampshire has always been our favorite thing to do together – silent time together away from the kids.
Our new favorite thing to do together is silent time with the kids – each riding their own bikes. I know you will love it, too! I vote for Brownies in a bag on the back of the bike!

Love seeing the poppy photos! I wonder what will be blooming when I’m there in a month.
