The 14th of July

The 14th of July

The parade with the Provencal marching band passed by our town today.

Afterwards there was an aperitif at the town square.

I went to Annie's house.

Opened her window. She leaned over the window sill to hear the music, and to listen to the mayor speak.

Annie is home! That is the reason for my celebrating this holiday!

Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts!

Oh goodness, who knew. I can recognize the back of Annie’s head. (and I semi-recognize the streets of St-Z now too)

Ooh, Annie must be DELIGHTED to be home, and to have you stopping by to see her (as it should be!). What local fruits are ripe there right now — peaches, plums, nectarines? Liberté! Egalité! Fraternité! Hmmm, how does one say “sisterhood” in French? :-)))

Let’s try again: Liberté! Égalité! Sororité!
(Wish I could’ve heard the band)

and the beat goes on….nice to hear about your friend Annie, I adore the elderly, always have…..I love white hair…..my mom used to have to scold me for staring at it, but I loved it….she said it was rude as the people didn’t realize how much I love white hair so I needed to stop staring……funny…..she said it wasn’t polite…..!!
