Because You Asked:

Because I have been asked more than once I am going to answer here today:

– Annie is doing well. Slower than before, but still her beautiful self. As she lives around the corner so I am able to see her often.

-Jean Luc, Chelsea's boyfriend's father is doing better and better. He is at home, relearning how to walk. He thanks you for the many cards and prayers, he was touched deeply by your friendship and concern.

– Yes we rent our apartment in Paris. If you are interested let me know by email. We rent it for a three day minimum.

-Yes the tiny house in my town is also available to rent. It sleeps 2.

-Yes My friend Ruth and I are doing week long French Muse Experiences, brocante, art, food, visiting homes… http://thefrenchmuse.com/provence-brocante-retreat/book-french-muse-experience-now/

– I have been walking daily since September: 5 to 8 miles a day. The race that Chelsea dared me to do is in March in Paris. I am ready.

– My brocante shop is open after a long delay due to the 30 percent postage hike. Though French Husband find a loop hole and I am back in business.

-Alice my friend's daughter might be coming back to France to do an internship… though tomorrow she has a very important interview in Australia… either way she is very happy.

Did I miss any of your questions?

  1. thank you for the updates!!

  2. Thank you for the updates. If it is not too personal, how are both your mother and your mother-in-law? If either lady would prefer to not have you comment on them, it is best to ignore my question. Wishing them well.

  3. Oh, I had wondered about all these things but had not asked. THANKS for obliging us.
My Claire has been so happy to correspond with you. Thank you for the recommendation of the au pair site…she is happily settling in to life north of Paris and we are most grateful. I will try not to drool in my scarf if you are able to meet up in Paris over cocoa.
Blessings to you and yours, Corey,
    Di

  4. Five to eight miles a day-wow! You are amazing!!!!!

  5. Thank you for all the updates, Corey!
I think of Annie often; she and Jean Luc are in my prayers. Sorry for pestering in the comments, but I truly care about those in my prayers and hope to hear how they are doing. Keeping you and your family close in prayer also.
Sounds like you have many interests keeping you busy and wish you well when you do your race.

  6. A question from me. Do you think you may write about the haunted house sometime soon? 🙂

  7. Mélanie Aussandon

    Hi Nancy
My mother in law Belle Mere is spending the week with us, she is fine. My Mother is amazing, she doesn’t stop and gives one hundred percent. Both my Mother and my Belle Mere amaze me, they are so young in spirit, heart and they look younger than me! Thank you for asking.

Star you never pester me! Even though we haven’t met I feel I know you. You have read my blog forever and I hope one day we can meet. Your prayers are counted on!

Oh the house we use to live in? Yes it is haunted. It still freaks me out. I will try to write about it. Talking about it is one thing writing about it is another… I hope NEVER to experience that again.

  14. Tongue in Cheek

Busy yes. Fun too. I wish you were here!!!!!!! I saw your sister and dad at the brocante on Sunday. When are you going to start your tours in Bangkok???

  15. Tongue in Cheek

    Hi Joanna
Ice Dream I like that question… But I think you meant Ice Cream flavor which is Coconut.

  16. I am glad to hear of the updates…………..
    Beautiful blessings to you all
    Love Jeanne

  17. Thank you for the updates. So glad to hear good news of both of your Mothers. Seeing them so active must make you feel hopeful instead of dreading the aging process. Wonderful role models.

  18. So happy to be able to stop by again, missed it here and very happy you see Annie so often. I adore such elders since I was a child. And, wow, rentals available too, so exciting for me to keep in my mind & dreams. I can’t believe postage goes up so high just like that over there….here too but that seems rather high to me over night! My walking ceased with so much movement and off the visiting path but I am back. My dare; I tried on clothes to keep or let go finally and yes I can’t believe my fat girl clothes I was lugging around so they left, then my skinny clothes, almost in them but a way to go so keeping. Amazing I have different sizes and I never realized that I was that chubby till I moved and pulled out all these fat girl clothes, gone to charity now YEA they are too big for me. My DARE: start moving like YOU again! XO

  19. Thank you, dear Corey. 🙂
Just overflowing with love and prayers for your and yours (and the wonderful folk who comment here). We are a family of sorts.

  20. So happy to know that everyone is doing well!! Thank you for the updates! After following your blog for several years, Annie, Belle Mère, Jean Luc, and the members of your family are all near and dear.
I think you may have answered my burning question earlier — the shade of your fabulous true red lipstick. Yves Saint Laurent, as I recall. 🙂

  21. Thanks, Corey, for bringing us all up to date on your friends who have become ours. It never ceases to amaze me how much we can care for others that we have never met, yet the emotions we feel are quite tangible and sincere. Warms my little heart and makes me so thankful for God’s answering of our prayers. So wish we were coming back to Paris again this year. We miss the sweet apartment on Rue Chateau, but treasure our memories.

  22. Corey, Yes once some years back you mentioned the haunted house you used to live in, then I sent you an email to ask if you would write about it in more detail sometime in your blog, and you replied that you would sometime, but you then got very busy and never did. I do hope you will, if it is not too upsetting for you. I am just very interested to know more about it. People in my family had a very long experience of the same kind. Best regards to you!

  23. (sorry, I’m a bit dense at times and posted this at the bottom of this thread, but am re-posting it here) Corey, Yes once some years back you mentioned the haunted house you used to live in, then I sent you an email to ask if you would write about it in more detail sometime in your blog, and you replied that you would sometime, but you then got very busy and never did.
