A Must: Being Called a Pig in French

My friends and I went out to lunch last week and were called piglets by two French women… Yes it is true. Funny really considering they were having raw meat (Orr as the French call it: steak tartare.) salad, cheese and wine… We the piglets had salad, shared French fries, and had dessert… not really a piggy difference in my opinion.

A classic moment! My favorite gourmands… piggies.

  2. Thats too funny. I must remember both phrases…… just in case the next time I am in a restaurant, the people at the next table start muttering…..

  3. If I had the good fortune to visit Paris I would become a “gourmand” in nothing flat, I assure you! 🙂

  4. I am smiling just at remembering this moment Corey… the look on their faces, I couldn’t quite put it in words but it was priceless
So when are we having our next dessert in Aix?

  5. What I’d have said to them is unprintable on a family blog!

I love that you all just laughed it off, after outing them for their lack of grace. Laughter can be the sweetest comeback. Served with a spoon of creme brûlée. Of course.

  9. Oh how silly we humans can be. To waste precious words on the negative.

  10. Love this and so funny!
