After work a quick check, to see where everyone is meeting for a drink. His green socks long to be taken off, throw on the lawn, blend in and be free.

Laurie SF who is in Bangkok asked to see a chic man.

Well Mr. Green Socks.

I found this on the ground. Wet from the rain, living close to a garbage can, stinking of pee… so I took out my handy grocery bag not noticing it was inside out, stuffed the old toile inside, carried it for the next several hours as I walked around Paris looking like a true bag lady, then went to a laundromat and washed it.

My Mother in Law (Belle Mere) asked,

"What are you going to do with it?"

"Sell it or keep it."

She thinks I am kind of weird wonderful.

  2. Hi, Corey!!!
Merci beaucoup for Laduree’s always gorgeous window!! You made my day!
    Warmest regards!
    -Tara
PS I really liked that chocolate rabbit display, too!

  3. I would love to see some stained glass!

  4. Thank you for the circle of hope, Corey! The readers here are second to none in sharing generously of their good wishes and prayers; I read them over and over.
Like Tara, I am always eager to see how Laduree has styled their window. If you should wander inside, feel free to have a taste for me 🙂 Keep the postcards coming!

  5. Corey you are too much fun! Thanks for the Laduree window posted above the chocolate rabbit,,,my mind swirls with fantasy of being on that sidewalk! Cindy

  6. Chic men, chocolate, bunny, flowers, doors, Laduree, books, something found, OH MY! It is all beautiful! You do indulge us with the beauty of Paris.

  7. You crazy bag lady you!
    xx

  8. I love your Paris photos. I miss Paris so much and this brings it all back. I have photos from a lot of these locations too.

  9. you remain with me in tender thought, in spirit and in my heart as I go through the day you follow jean-luc in my simple supplications -peace be with you and all whom you love and that which you hold in the quiet of your heart be heard with every beat by the ONE that is always listening!

  10. What beautiful photos, merci beaucoup! If you happen to come across any street musicians please take their photo – merci encore.

  11. of course – best wishes to Star foremost!
Corey – what wonderful images these are! Each one was better than the next. Such a treat, like we are there with you. Thank you!

  12. Alright, Corey, this is just a dream request, but if anyone can figure out a way to do it, you can. I would love to see the interior of one of those top floor corner apartments with the domed roof, round windows, and balcony. Does that make sense? Don’t know how else to describe it! But whenever I see a picture of one from the outside I wonder WHO IN THE WORLD GETS TO LIVE THERE AND HOW HAVE THEY DECORATED!?!?!?! And if that’s not possible (though I’m sending positive vibes your way), then I’ll “settle” for some hidden courtyards. THANK YOU!

  13. Ha ha, Bag lady
    Just too funny
Thanks for the easter display, chocolate bunny, love every photo you take
You are making me fall in love with Paris again

  14. Oh I’m having so much fun on this trip! I nearly peed my pants when I read about the toile, lol…let me know when it goes up for sale-there is too good a story behind it not to buy! Now that’s some provenance!

  15. Every single picture takes me back to my 10 short days in France! Great pics! Thank you!

  16. I remember seeing wild asparagus for the first (and thus far only) time at the produce market along Rue de Seine in the 6th Arrondissement, a couple doors down from the Hôtel La Louisiane. Unfortunately we had no way to steam it in our hotel room, so didn’t buy any — Farmboy Husband did buy several kinds of fresh fruit there, though. Merci, Corey!

  17. Cats? Purr…

  18. The chocolate rabbit looked so real.

  19. Diogenes

That chocolate rabbit is a work of art. And I could eat that entire Laduree window and wash it down with a cup of good coffee.

  20. Love all the photos! The fabric is beautiful.
How about Louis Vuitton or Chanel windows: Thanks

  21. Such fun pics! Flowers … Doors… Churchs !!!

  22. Thank you for this beautiful post – we are still buried in snow here in New Hampshire. It’s so nice to see it’s spring in Paris. Love the weird, wonderful toile. How about some art – or Louis Vuitton would work as well.

  23. I love this game . i should do the same with Bangkok

  24. I love seeing the store window displays and all the architectural details… keep going! I love it all! Thank you Corey! it is fun to live in Paris vicariously thru you. Hugs! karen….

  25. Bonnie Schulte

Loving your pictures, that book store..WOW, what fun!!!!

  26. Oooooh the photos are so wonderful! Blossoms give hope that we will be warm enough to wake up the bushes and trees here on the west slope of the Rockies.
Love seeing the flowers and vegetables all arranged picturesquely to be sold….the doors, the sculpture and the green shoes! Everything is perfect…and so Paris.

  27. Rebecca from the pacific northwest

Your circle of hope for Star was perfect.
Sending Star hope and encouragement from here too.

  28. Love the pictures! How about interesting door knockers?

  29. Katherine Miller

Lovely photos as always Corey! Photos of Laduree, flowers, men wearing suits!
All things I love…take care, Kathy Miller

  30. you have such an artistic “eye”…. love the circle of hope for Star & the “trash” turned into a treasure! Paris feels alive with you at the “shutter”!

  31. Cathy Hickman

Really, how beautiful….This day every year for 5 yrs, that I have wished to pass quickly. Another birthday without my beloved identical twin. Thank you so much for the beauty today…truly AWESOME Cory. ♥

  32. Breathtaking photos, Corey! You are so talented, you really should have a book. I’m seriously drooling at the eclairs! And, the grey statue boy juxtaposed against the hot pink flowering tree is spectacular! What a feast for the eye through your eye of Paris in the springtime!

  33. Yes, please do..I’d love to see it! 🙂

  34. Me, too! I’m such a voyeur (in a good way, not creepy way) and always wonder what the interiors look like, if they match the charming exteriors.
I’ve always been enamoured with the tiny Paris studio apartment of the early ’60s movie, “Irma la douce”..it’s so darn charming & cute! Of course, it was a built movie set, but that is how I always pictured the apartments in Paris. And, when I first saw Rachel Khoo’s cute, “little Paris kitchen” it wasn’t too far off.
So, yes I’d love to see, if it is even possible, quaint, little apartments. I worry that everybody is on this trend of “blowing out walls” for huge open concept living, which definitely doesn’t translate to charming or historical.

  35. Thank you for these beautiful pictures. That chocolate bunny is so beautiful! Maybe a picture of perfume!
Sending positive thoughts of hope and love to Star.

  36. Marie-Noëlle

Didn’t ask to see anything but I’ve really enjoyed this post… And it wasn’t a mere peek-through !!!
    Thinking of you !!!
    XO

  37. Such beautiful, beautiful pictures. Though I am not the one who asked, I do so love the doors and windows, too. I love everything.
