God’s Boat

I came across this image today, the second I saw it I felt it penetrate to the very heart of how I am feeling:

Hearing the stillness of the water

as it barely laps the side of the boat,

I could feel the sails full yet not moving.

Simply standing on water.

The deep unknown,

as it stirs underneath

moving us,

moving us.

Stunning. I love most the scale of the feeling of the boat. It feels vast. Cosmically vast. Wonderful!

  11. I have been searching for a particular poem to put here but I can’t find it – it’s lovely – about someone watching a loved one sail over the horizon – very sparce and economic. I’ll post it if I find it. In the meantime, my thoughts are with you, Annie and her family. xx
