Stories Collected While Living in France
I came across this image today, the second I saw it I felt it penetrate to the very heart of how I am feeling:
Hearing the stillness of the water
as it barely laps the side of the boat,
I could feel the sails full yet not moving.
Simply standing on water.
The deep unknown,
as it stirs underneath
moving us,
moving us.
Drifting, slowly, to the music of the spheres.

I have been searching for a particular poem to put here but I can’t find it – it’s lovely – about someone watching a loved one sail over the horizon – very sparce and economic. I’ll post it if I find it. In the meantime, my thoughts are with you, Annie and her family. xx
