My dear friend, Annie has passed away today.
Thank you for loving Annie, and cheering her stories. Thank you for your prayers for her these last few months and for putting up with my silence and hardly posting.
My dear Annie I will miss you terribly.
I am so sorry to hear this and may God bless and comfort you, your family and all of Annie’s during this sad time. You all were such sweet friends to Annie and her family.

I loved reading stories about her, I loved seeing her photos. I have tried some of recipes and every spring wondered about her “herb” salad she gathered in the fields around your town. Took her wisdom to my heart.
It has been raining here so hard all weekend.
Now I know why.
Yet somehow I can’t help it but seeing Annie’s smiling face chatting up a storm with her loved once somewhere up there behind the clouds.
I’m so sorry, Corey, for the loss of your sweet Annie. Thank you for introducing us to her. I confess that every post I’ve opened lately, I’ve dreaded reading these words. Yet Annie’s life, although hard, was full of love and zest. She touched so many lives through your stories, Corey. Thank you.

At one point, she called you, “Cherie”. It rolled off her lips so naturally. You were
her loved one, her daughter of her heart. As an older woman with many younger
women as friends, I thank you on behalf all wornen befriended by younger women
who give them their love and time.
Time will cover the scar on your broken heart, but Annie’s love will be with you forever.

I loved your stories about Annie. My mom is 96 1/2 and I always thought of them as being sisters in some ways…separated by the miles. They were so similar in their life stories. I’ve been away for a week, so am only now learning the sad news of Annie’s death, unexpected though it was. I’m sure that each of you felt that you got the “better half of the bargain” from your friendship with one another 🙂 I’m so glad that you were able to share her friendship and stories with so many of us, which must have pleased and amused (and maybe even puzzled) her no end.
