A Perfect Blend of Mixing Old with the New

Back Home in Austin

The gathering at Back Home in Austin went well. Mari, my friend and owner introduced me to the group before I spoke, she praised me to the point I thought I would turn red: So nice So sweet, I wish I could always be as good as she made me sound! After that introduction I wondered how I could possible say anything to match her generous loving introduction.

But I like to talk, especially when it comes to anything about France, antiques, culture, living, loving, creating…

Mari's beautiful shop is a fantastic mixture of old with new. A modern take on old style pieces, creating a blend that is hard to do, the admirable talent of perfecting style.

My photos with my i-phone do not do any justice, but better than none. You gotta go see for yourself.

Happiness is seeing and letting it pour through me absorbing what I can and letting it go forward in thanksgiving.

Thank you Mari

  1. Now this is a shop I would love visiting.

  2. Really lovely.

  3. Wish I could see the Chandelier better in the last photo. Is there wooden teardrops hanging from it? I’m going cross eyed trying to see it.
