A Little Day in Aix en Provence

The streets were full, music played, the market-wares tempted, aroma of summer filled the air.

Children splashed, lovers held hands, basil-lavender infused the Provencal air, Saint Victoire stood tall, cars were bumper to bumper, I found six monogram silver forks.

Few noticed the man playing the violin.

He is a music teacher.

Such talent makes a market.

Atmosphere!

I think we have to go to Aix again soon, it is such a nice city.
    Bonne journée, Monika

  4. Beautiful Aix, where I met and married my lovely French husband 48 years ago. My friends once made me a birthday cake shaped like the mossy fountain in your picture, complete with green gel water.

  5. So beautiful, it makes my heart ache.
At our local French market, there was a jazz duo playing Grapelli and their own tunes. After a few years, it became a solo act.
There is nothing like a French market!

  6. I would love going here. A good friend of mine has a daughter in law from here. Her parents still live in Aix.
And a market to venture through would be total delight.
