When sharing something I love and having it received with gratitude and appreciation, then the giving flows like the River Sorgue, abundantly with ease, rushing on one shore to another until one becomes the other.
Ruth and I went antiquing with the kindred spirits who joined us for the French Muse.
We went to Isle sur la Sorgue, and did not see it all… which wasn't their goal. We wandered, drank, talked, admired, shopped for their homes, shops and pleasure… and had lunch with an antique dealer friend at the Carre des Herbes which makes my mouth water remembering the flavor, conversation, automatic joy… it was is we were having constant dessert.
Beautiful things seen was a given. Sharing with antique dealers I have known for years, with friends I have just met was similar to being comfortable in my own skin.
A perfect match.
Isle sur la Sorgue is a haven for antique dealers, it is in the south of France. Well known. The antiques shops are plentiful and are open every weekend.
When you want to find or see many beautiful antiques Isle sur la Sorgue is a must.
All is well when you can share each other's lunch.
CB gives Ruth a bite.
Instant gratitude within seconds.
And a delicious one at that.
If you would like to join us please know that Ruth and I create personal, unique and beautiful experiences according to each group's preference and dreams. This group liked antiques, and wanted to shop… oh gee pull my arm.
Tomorrow we are heading towards Lourmarin, then a private home of antique dealer, then to Mo's and back to Lacoste.
Antiques of every size, shape, color, age, and state… I could live on that alone, not literally but close enough.
A marble bathtub and a statue fragment that seems to stand guard.
I wanted to get dirty just to get inside and take a bath. That bathtub could tell a story or two don't you think?
Contemplating.
Yes or no.
Should it stay or come home.
Louis 14th arm chair.
It will have a new home.
Somethings have many lives, and we have added our memories to it.
