Feast of the Guardian Angels

Feast of the guardian angels

The feast day of the Guardian Angels. When I was a child, and all the way through high school I said this prayer:

"Angel of God,
my guardian dear,
to whom God's love commits me here,
ever this day,
be at my side
to light and guard,
to rule and guide."

Was there a prayer you said as a child?

so true… we are connected by such words.

  7. I adore your prayer, I say a prayer every morning and night, asking our Lord and angels to keep us safe and guide us. As a child we said the “Now I lay me down to sleep” prayer.

  8. now I lay me down to sleep-still said every night as well as the Lord’s Prayer. Grace prayer starting it “Be present at our table, Lord” or if it was the holidays, grace would be said in Norwegian ” I Jesu navy gaar vi tail bords..”
