The French Muse: Day Four

French Muse Experience…

Feast for the eyes, heart, the senses and the stomach.

My friend Lisa gave us a house tour of her beautiful home, and then served us an incredible dinatoire, a French word for a dinner that is like a extra large aperitif.

Of course Babette was there to steal everyone's heart.

Champagne, over looking the charming town of Lagnes.

Go over the day's activities.

Lourmarin, Lauris, Pertuis…

Visiting two homes,

One market,

Lunch in Lourmarin,

Dinner at Chez Margot…

A ton of lavender sachets.

Really amazing photos Corey! Provence in a bottle. I can just about feel the Mistral and taste the wine.
Love those oyster plates (?) and the brocante sign.

  2. Oh my goodness, I have been following along and if I ever finally make it to France, this is exactly what I would want to do! I loved the old red french textiles the woman was holding!!! The food looks so beautiful and simple…the landscape beautiful! A trip dreams are made of! karen….

  3. well another morning spent in Provence…all my senses are a tingle-I was thinking I would love a virtual FRENCH MUSE you can take us along virtually in real time even if it means the middle of the night here on the East Coast and we can say buy this and that you can charge a finder’s fee and there we are right there those lavender sachets….must have and the brocante tidbits-they all look so at ease there what a wonderful way to spend the day….and the indigo fabrics will forever remind me of Ruth-although I have never met her…ENJOY!

Thank you for sharing this experience with us. Truly looks like the trip of a lifetime for these ladies.

  5. The photo of the woman holding the red textiles also called out to me! Great minds think alike?

  6. Amazing!
How does one get all of this wonderfulness home?

  7. Oh, my heart aches to be there in the south of France. I’ve got to set it up with my friends….one day, Corey, one day

  8. This looks like heaven!

Such a feast of photos here!
I wish that you’d post them about 3x bigger than they are here, so they would fill the screen of my computer monitor and I could examine every detail better.
The way they appear on my screen, many (but not all) of them run from one to the next to the next. A little white space between each pic would be lovely to space them just a little and give them breathing room so I can enjoy each one as it comes. On the other hand, this leaves one somewhat breathless as the images pour over each other and tumble along just like your day probably felt.
I liked the brocante sign too. It should go right above your front door.

  10. I love the way you capture the moments of laughter and joy.
