the Portrait

My latest purchase from the brocante.

It was the first thing I saw, but I did not buy it until the end. As I was paying for it a couple came up and asked the dealer about the it, they wanted to buy it. If I had been two minute later I would have missed out on it.

It is oil on canvas, original frame and about 30 inches high.

It now is in our kitchen.

Happy dance!

Walking the lanes of venders at the Brocante…the portraits sitting on the dusty ground are a bit like pain perdue….lost but… if adopted they have a new life in a very different world. The same day you found your new family member I found my lost potrait of a young woman which I named Martine!

She should have a name. Something old school. Marie-Agnès. Marie-Line. Marianne. Bernadette. Micheline. Claudette. Albertine. Odette. Odile.
Has she told any secrets yet?

Beautiful painting and the green is gorgeous. My kitchen is compact but thanks to you and your Nespresso machine I have a designated coffee counter with every sexy Nespresso accessory available! I have the painter coming tomorrow, again you are to blame but that’s another storey.
