He is Back: Thicker beard, Heavier and Happy

He is back.

Happy.

So glad to have him here to hug.

I won't ask for how long, or if he is going to go back to the US to find work, no I won't ask. I won't. I won't hold him back. I will try not to that is. Oh man why do babies grow up? I am going to lock the door.

He is home. Who knew that love like this could be so strong?

He came home and went straight to the fan zone in Marseille with Yann and our family friend Arnaud.

Squeeze-able love!

Chelsea and Sacha both in twenty four hours, a dose of forever after goodness.

    How wonderful!!
Our daughter Emma returns on August 3rd from her study abroad semester in Japan. She has been gone for 4 plus months. I can’t wait to hug her when she arrives home!

He looks like those advertisements for men from the roaring twenties. I agree with Kipper, ooh la la, le moustanche est magnifique…in other words, hubba, hubba…

Which team were you all routing for? France or Portugal?

  5. They do grow up. Be happy he is doing that. I know you are, but it isn’t easy.

  6. That was the question of the day! France!

  7. Why do they insist on growing up? I keep telling mine to stop it, but it does no good.
Sacha and Chelsea must be tickled to read how much you love them. They know it, of course, but it’s always nice to hear.

  8. So happy for you. Enjoy every minute.

  9. Love hearing the joy in your words this day as you “bubble over” with excitement. Just enjoy. Tomorrow will figure itself out.

  10. I sympathize.
My son is a counselor at a summer camp and I drive him to the school bus that goes to the camp. All the little kids run around him as he walks from our car to the bus and I can’t help wondering how he became this 6′ bearded man when so recently he was one of those little kids.

  11. Oh so very happy for you to have had both your “babies” home! I know when my son comes home for a visit. it is as if the clouds part, the sun shines and all is right with the world.
