The Annual Crazy Endurance Pleasure

As far back as to when Sacha was barely out of diapers, okay maybe not as far, the three guys (French Husband, Fabrice (Sacha's childhood friend) and Sacha, plus one tough cute cookie named Chelsea do some sort of crazy endurance outing for pleasure. As much fun as they proclaim they have I know I would freak out on the first rope hang, cliff dive, or rock climb. My idea of fun is not at all in the same realm as this sort of thing. They promised they would send photos, which came in as snapchats.

All the photos are from Chelsea and Fabrice.

Guess which trail they took?

The hike involved going up and up and up…

From experience that I would rather not recall, nor say I have had with French Husband, let us just say he often gets lost, yet claims he knows the way. So whatever the map says imagine tripling it and that is the true distance you will do when you are hiking with him. Though it does not triple the fun.

French Husband often begs me to come along, trying to pretend it is a piece of cake, or a glass of wine, or a walk in the park… Yet when they return, I ask Chelsea, "Could I have done it?" Her response is always the same, "No way!"

When I said, "It looked like a beautiful walk."  They laughed, "Yeah it was way more than that." Which meant it was a fantastic beast of pleasure.

Sacha and Fabrice have been friends since they were three years old. We use to live on the same street.

The scenery is stunning, especially picture number 7…HELLOOOO SACHA!

  2. How do you say “beautiful photos but that altitude would make me dizzy and want to hurl ?”

  3. Well if I were young, maybe! In the meantime it is beautiful!

  4. I prefer to think of this more as Corey’s Annual Crazy Solitude Pleasure :-)))))

  5. Reading the stories of you and your family are priceless! Thank you, Corey! You keep my dream alive that I might experience it some day!

Crazy endurance outing for pleasure? You spelt do you want to spend the afternoon in a cafe sipping wine incorrectly!

  7. AMAZING IT LOOKS! And yes, I too think THIS IS NOT FOR YOU AND ME, COREY…. :))))))
Tks for sharing their ‘joyful tribulations’ and tks for staying at home & being safe.

  8. What a fun adventure and so great that they do it every year. I think it’s good to do things outside our comfort zone!

  9. The scenery is worth it, and all those metal stairs look like a big help. But in the heat? If it’s more than an hour, I could see doing it in spring or fall….I just went for a little early morning hike and am sopping with sweat.

  10. Breathtaking! And you are wise to stay home, wait for the pictures and appreciate it vicariously. Thanks for sharing their endurance adventure.

  11. I am with YOU!
    STAY BEHIND……………

Stunning locale! Such energy! My oldest son lives in Big Sky, Montana and thrives on similar adventures. Thanks for sharing, hope you enjoyed a glass of wine and a cool spot to read or daydream.

  14. Ah, the one place on our list that we didn’t get to. There will be another chance, but it will be in a car. You and I, Corey, shall find our crazy adventures elsewhere and it will most certainly involve wine!
