All in a day, I am in Paris 'cause my friend Cheryl (from Australia) is here with her daughter.

Chelsea Sacha and Fabrice are in Provence, they went hiking again, along the coast in Cassis and then up Garlaban.

A big plus about hiking along the coast means diving and dipping are possible.

We live in the Provencal rocky foothills, one of the mountain tops is called Garlaban. It is the area that the French author and movie director wrote about: Manon of the Source, My Mother's Castle, My Father's Glory… Chelsea, Sacha and Fabrice hiked there yesterday morning and sent me photos of their adventure.

The stairs are done!

Now the rest can unfold into shape.

Joel the talented ironsmith made them. Awestruck I am.

Late last night I joined Cheryl and her daughter at Gaspard de la Nuit for dinner. My nephew Georges is the chef. It was his birthday last night. If you are Paris, looking for a traditional, throwback to by gone days and of course an amazing menu you will want to try Gaspard de la Nuit in the Marais. The other day I went hunting in Paris for a summer truffle with Georges. He made a delicate dish with it last night.

Gloryville feast!

Tell them Corey sent you, then Georges will come out and practice his English!

Gaspard de la Nuit is open from 7pm to midnight every day.

I think these are the first pictures of Cassis where I completely understand the layout. It’s looking great!
Food looks wonderful, good to have a chef in the family. And nice pictures of the lovely Aussie ladies.

Oh the meal and friendship meeting in Paris are a delight. Then Cassis, your family playing there and the stairs are all so wonderful. Now I can’t wait to see what comes next now that the stairs are done.

  3. Oh my gosh my thoughts are coming faster than I can write – first do y think your children would give me directions for a cassis hike next year? Second the stairs are gorgeous – I am amazed, all of sudden the there it all is!!!! Third – the summer truffle and dinner ! Wow wow wow. Missing France …

“Manon” the movie made such an impression on me. With such great actors. I was just thinking about it, too, wishing we had a well!

I will add the draft soon, I think you would like it!

    Hi Debbie
Certainly the will!! Not a problem. Whatever level you are they can find or lead you to the trails. There are plenty of them.

Ah thanks. I wish it was a full window, but compromise is the way to get along.
